Comfortable retreat away from city bustle
Reviewed By nsagaydoCame here to enjoy Mother's day with my fiancée and his family. We stayed in one of the cabins, and enjoyed a full weekend both as a couple and as a family. I would recommend the stay in both cases: the food and service is top notch, with meals being filled with locally sourced fish and fresh ingredients. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. The cabins are simple, but clean, with soft beds and fluffy pillows (my fiancée was even able to get a few hours of work in). As for the attractions, there are all sorts of water-related activities that people of all ages can enjoy, from kayaking, fishing and going down the water slides to just enjoying the beautiful views overlooking the Rio Negro. At night the beach becomes the perfect setting for a special dinner, offering unobstructed views of Manaus' shoreline. All in all, if you want to get out of the city for the weekend, but stay relatively close to the comforts of urban life, Amazon Fish is the perfect place to be!

Founded in 2011 with a concept totally focused on sport fishing and ecological tourism, Pousada PiraAçu is located in the southern state of Amazonas, on the Aripuanã River, near one of the largest ecological reserves in the state, belonging to the municipality of Apuí-AM, where only our visitors have the opportunity to fish. We have a structure of sport fishing inserted in an intact region where few sport fishermen have ever been; rivers and lakes with a very large diversity of leather fish and scales. The hostel has capacity for up to 18 people, with 5 double and 2 quadruple rooms, all with split air conditioning and private bathroom. The dining room is also air-conditioned with satellite internet access and a global telephone.

Truely unforgettable experience
Reviewed By steve cEven getting there was an adventure!! Roads to what seemed like nowhere, red soil dirt tracks, boats and speedboats! First of all, do not expect luxury - the facilities are pretty basic, with no hot water and power only in the evenings but that's all part of the experience. Osmar - the guide - was outstanding (and he spoke English!!) and incredibly knowledgeable and took us on boat and jungle tours, daytime and nighttime, and I will never forget the experience and things that we saw..cayman, monkeys, sloths, birds galore, iguana, second biggest spider in the world, drinking water from vines in the jungle fishing (and catching) piranha....the list goes on and on! We were lucky enough to meet the lodge owner who was charming and welcoming and we were best fiends and 'brothers' by the time we left! Great food, well stocked bar, you can swim in water around the lodge, and the staff were awesome! Thank you all for an astonishing three days!!

Experiência inesquecível! Guias incríveis
Reviewed By Julia RFizemos o passeio Jau 3 dias e foi muito legal! Saimos da pousada Bela Vista e passamos 3 dias e 2 noites no Parque Nacional do Jau. Fizemos vários passeios, como cachoeiras, gruta, visita à comunidade Ribeirinha, banho nas praias do rio, trilhas, etc. O café da manhã era ótimo, e as refeições também: peixe que nossos guias pescavam , assado na folha de bananeira, com arroz e farinha - muito gostoso! <3 Nosso guia Alcemir era muito experiente e foi muito cuidados conosco o tempo todo. Ficamos na casa do Ari, que nos recebeu com muito carinho. Os dois foram muito queridos, estamos muito agradecidos pela experiência maravilhosa <3
