Go ahead and take that photo of yourself with a tilted hand "holding up" the Tower of Pisa. We won't tell; your rep as a sophisticated traveler will remain unblemished. Now that you've gotten that out of the way, climb the tower's 300 steps for a tilted view, or visit the National Museum of San Matteo and the Camposanto cemetery.

Di ritorno dalla Settimana Bianca in Trentino per “spezzare” il viaggio per la Calabria. Subito dentro le Mura della città vecchia di Pisa. A 100 metri da Piazza dei Miracoli. Posizione a dir poco favolosa.

If I could give minus stars to this property I certainly would. Before getting into detail about our stay I would strongly advise staying away from this property despite its price and proximity to the airport. To begin with, you have to climb four flights of stairs to reach this section of private rooms, not advisable for children or anyone with heavy luggage or difficulties climbing. We were not received in any shape or form by a helpful or pleasant host, but rather by a very rude man who did not greet us. He brought us to our room and demanded a further €13 for our room despite having paid in full online and upon speaking to the owner on the phone as to why this was, I got laughed at. Foolishly we decided to stay in this mosquitoe ridden dump due to our early morning flight. There are no facilities with this place, no tea or coffee facilities, no hairdryer, no TV, a shared bathroom and flimsy locks on the bedroom door. You are literally paying for a bed, which was hard as rocks and smelled. The shared bathroom had been cleaned before arrival but had used and old shower products rotting in the shower, which was hastily avoided. We did not sleep. The airconditioning unit comprised of a machine which sucked air from a hole in the window which was cooled by the machine and subsequently sucked mosquitoes into the room, we were covered in bites. The property was very noisy and it was the worst bed we had ever slept in. The only ones who enjoyed this room was the mosquitoes. Don't be fooled by the online price, they will attempt to charge you more. Overall it is dreadful, avoid avoid avoid!

Lovely place and friendly host! Walking distance to the Airport and Leaning Tower of Pisa. Affordable price, clean and with a nice backyard (lots of trees and bushes). Would recommend this place for sure!

I booked to stay here for one night as catching an early flight our of PIA the next day... I arrived at around 6pm and although staff were lovely it’s basically a restaurant with rooms over top. The restaurant doesn’t open until 7.30 but you can manage to get a drink around 7. It’s really noisy as the restaurant is really popular (why I’m not quite sure because it’s slap bang next to the motorway and close to the airport). Anyway, I did eat in the restaurant (see separate review) and the food and service were ok. Whilst bedrooms are comfortable, clean and spacious the noise from restaurant feels like there’s no insulation so you can hear everything and you have to wait for not just noisy customers but also noisy staff clearing down after the restaurant has closed. Once I eventually managed to get to sleep I’m then woken again by someone randomly knocking on my door and other room doors at 1am then more noise as people start leaving at 4am! All in all I think I’d have had a better night’s sleep sleeping in the airport and saving myself €65! I’d advise booking elsewhere if sleep is important to you.

I booked a room here for my husband's surprise 40th Birthday trip. The B and B sent me a message on the evening before my flight saying that they were cancelling our booking as there would be no one there to check us in, and that we would have to pay in full for the room!!!! They had sent a message a few hours earlier asking our arrival time, which was 9pm. They said their reception closed at 8pm and no one would wait to check my husband and our baby in....I mean, why can they not wait an hour, or leave a code for us to get in?! (Also, it does not specify that they will not check you in, if you are a little later than their reception times). I sent them many messages asking if they would give us a full refund in order to find and pay for another room at such short notice, but they refused, and were very abrupt, cold and unhelpful. Completely unconcerned that we may be roaming around Pisa at night with a new baby. What concerns me more, is that I booked the room a few weeks prior to this, so the hotel could have been in touch regarding our arrival time sooner. The fact that they waited until the afternoon before our arrival, makes me wonder if they had in fact double booked the room... They then cancelled our booking on booking.com to prevent us from writing a review. Please, please do not stay here! Pisa is full of far better options, with wonderful hosts who will go out of their way to help you, these people at Retro b and b will most definitely not! Rip off merchants, who sadly put a dampener on our introduction to Pisa, a beautiful city.

The owner organised transport for us from the airport to the B&B which was very much appreciated. Once we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The B&B is in a good location about 15 minutes walk from the centre. Everything was very clean and tidy. Would highly recommend.

B&B DIECISEIS is located within a building clean and well maintained. . Rooms are simples, colorful and functional. Each of them, in addition to having all the comforts of a bedroom, is equipped with Wi-fi, TV, a small table if you would like to have breakfast in your room and if necessary also a camp bed for children. The password Wi-fi you'll find it on the back of the business card in each room. Should there be a need to bring some four-legged friend or the like, please contact us to describe the animal because my B&B is inside a residential apartment building and there are clear rules and not everything can be clearly granted. My guests are always welcomed by me or by my gentle mother and after having explained the functioning of the various objects in the kitchen and explained the few but important rules of conduct to follow, will be free to enjoy their stay. I will be available 24 hours on 24 for any eventuality or demand such as shuttle service to / from airport / train station / bus station or any place not too far of course notice (just 5? Euro each way). The district a100mt from the walls of Pisa, is one of the most sought after city for its tranquility and little traffic. On foot you can easily reach the center in 10min and in 20min for the famous Piazza die Miracoli and Leaning Tower of Pisa. Also, for those who are equipped car, you can quickly reach the Hospitals of Santa Chiara and Cisanello, the central railway station and the airport Galileo Galilei. . And 'this is a bus stop 50 meters from the hotel from where you can take buses to the Central Station of Pisa, Galileo Galilei airport and with several stops near or even in the city center.

Great city centre location handy to explore everything on foot. Room was clean, tidy, spacious and secure. Can be a little noisy outside the room into the late evening. The addition of a balcony and seating outside makes for an added bonus to the room
