With hundreds of man-made lakes, state parks, casinos, museums and nightlife and dining opportunities in revitalized downtown areas in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, there is a lot to see and do in the Sooner State. The state is dotted with phenomenal lakes where swimming, boating and bass fishing are the most desired activities. Some of the state’s most popular lakes include Broken Bow Lake located near the Quachita Mountains; Grand Lake in the northeastern corner of the state at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and Lake Murray in the hills in the southern part of the state.
While the state is known for its many outdoor activities like great fishing, golf, hiking, canoeing and boating, make sure you don’t overlook its fantastic museums. Heading the list are Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, featuring the world’s largest collection of art and artifacts from the American West; the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, which tells the story of the American Cowboy; and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, which has a permanent collection of American and European art. A venerable family favorite activity is Frontier City Amusement Park in Oklahoma City, which has dozens of rides and shows.

It was a girls weekend and this place was great! So retro, just loved it. The management was very nice and helpful. It was very clean and had all things you needed as it has a kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom and closet area. Very quiet so you could sleep peacefully, we couldn’t even hear the rain that night. Would highly recommend

We are a historic boutique hotel in the heart of Downtown Pawhuska, Oklahoma. We are located in the historic Triangle Building, just across the street from the Pioneer Woman Mercantile. We have twenty guest rooms which include 12 Pioneer Suites, 4 Osage Double Queens Rooms, and 4 Osage Rooms.
Price wasn't cheap, no continental breakfast and the worst part was the lack of dusting that had been done. I have cleaned for over 10 years so that's something I notice when I stay places (hotels/Airbnb's). It is decorated so aesthetically BUT then had these random ugly spring looking fake flowers.....

Very spacious handicapped room with a walk in shower. Built in bench in the shower. Two shower nozzles-built in one, and a handheld one. A huge fridge/freezer, microwave. Ironing board and iron, small coffee maker. Wide open room. Lots of counter space in the room. The only negative is the room is on the first floor right by the elevator which made it pretty noisy. All in all a great place. Breakfast was nice. Front desk helpful. Shower was hot. King Bed super comfy.

We stayed here for my mom's 90th birthday party. We had people coming from coast to coast, both driving and flying. They were extremely helpful with both the adjustment of check in times and checkout times. We had 3 rooms, but part of the group decided to stay an extra night and it was no problem! All 3 rooms were next to each other, and that was super thoughtful. The rooms were very clean (including corners) and every single staff we encountered was helpful!

I’m a former travel agent and read all the reviews about cleanliness and room size before I booked two rooms. Our family of four needed two rooms for one night. Both rooms did not smell fresh, our room 112, had not been vacuumed throughly, I was unsure about walking on the floor barefoot. The headboard tops had a thick layer of dust, and the room smelled terrible. The guys room, 105 was a little cleaner but, not by much. Please be aware that there are no interior corridors for this hotel and all doors face the parking lot. We had a Dooley truck start up right outside our door at 5:00am and run for an hour before the construction guys left who were also staying. All to say you will hear parking lot noise and traffic. The parking lot is really trashed. Lots of bags, cups, cigarette butts. It could stand to be swept. The good news is we never heard our neighbors through the walls so building was solid construction. Breakfast was cereal, waffles and watered down juice in the morning. Air conditioning worked and kept the room cool. I did a through bedbug check in both rooms and didn’t see any evidence of them. Mattresses were covered in plastic and the sheets smelled clean. Pillows did not have protective covers, just pillow cases. Bathroom was clean in both rooms. Checking in was fine and guest attendant was friendly. If you’re coming into town and need a cheap room it’s fine for what it is but, be aware that glowing reviews of cleanliness are far from true.

The location was good- one plus for this hotel. Not the cleanest place. There was hairs in the shower. There was no grab and go breakfast- nothing but coffee and vending machines. Thank goodness Jimmy’s Egg (a breakfast restaurant) was close by. This was a highlight of our stay. The front desk is not routinely staffed- you have to use a phone to locate staff. They congregate in a room near a rear exit. Not sure what they are doing but taking care of guests isn’t one of the things they do. If you book through a 3rd party- beware! My husband and I did and the reservation number furnished to us was useless. After much back and forth, the reservation was finally found. I overheard 2 other people in the lobby going through the same gymnastics. I heard a person (I assume the manager) tell one person they were overbooked and to not rely on 3rd part booking sites. If we head that way again, we will not stay there and do not recommend.

This hotel was what I would expect for the price. There was nothing horrible or great about it. I was kind of apprehensive about it at first because some of the google reviews I read were very bad. But it looks like the owners are working on fixing it up and making it better. It is an old motel so it has that feel. But the rooms are clean and comfortable. I saw no bugs and I had no problem with the room at all. Yes it seems like a small family run operation so we did have to ring a bell and wait for someone to come to the front desk. But I don’t mind that kind of service when it come to small businesses. The one thing I kind of had a problem with but is still understandable is that we paid cash and they asked for a security deposit. And when we checked out they had to go check the room before we could get our deposit back and leave. I guess we wouldn’t have had to do this if we had used a card which most people do now. Overall I would stay here again for the cost cleanliness and convenience of location.
