Just like the sun entices you under its warm cocoon, Aelia has been designed as a wellness haven in the outskirts of Nicosia, Cyprus to transport your body, mind and spirit into pure bliss and serenity. 'Return to Happiness' is the underlying philosophy of Aelia, a place of purity, beauty and enjoyment. A retreat where you can connect with nature to improve your health and quality of life.
This is a lovely place to come for peace and quiet, which is what I wanted. However I am also a disabled man, and wanted to use a wheelchair to rest. The common areas are very pleasant and reasonably wheelchair accessible. However, the room was difficult. Firstly, my wheelchair kept getting stuck on the loose rugs and the overly long curtains. There is no ramp down to the outside seating area which I very much wanted to make use of. The outdoor chairs are deck chairs so I asked for an indoor chair to be taken outside, which a very nice chap called Kevin came and did for me. But it still meant an awkward, almost jump, to the veranda. However, the bathroom was the most difficult area for me. Not wheelchair accessible. One of the toilet bars came out of the wall as I leaned on it, nearly throwing me to the floor. There were no bars to hold onto in the almost entirely slippery shower area, despite the owner telling me that he would install some last time I was here for a wedding. The shower pressure is amazing though! Altogether a very disappointing trip from a disabled perspective. But I still like it here. A special shout out to 3 members of staff, the aforementioned Kevin, Lillian, who remembered me from the wedding last year, and also a fella called Luv, who was a server and helped me with the breakfast buffet. They were smiley and polite throughout. Great food, great place, but NOT for the disabled in my opinion.

This little hotel and restaurant in northern Nicosia is a great find. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the food amazing with locally sourced foods fresh from the markets. Great ambiance in a courtyard at the rear. I had a salmon salad and husband a fish seafood casserole.

We spent 2 nights at the resort and it was bliss. Large, comfortable rooms and a huge pool. Charming, friendly staff and simple tasty meals. The location is remote and beautiful, with nice nature walks. Highly recommended for couples to relax.

Really nice guesthouse with 3 rooms. Rooms and building are decorated in a very nice romantic style. Spotless clean. When we arrived there was nobody to receive us. We had to call and then the Russian owner Viktoria came to hand out our keys. Personally I think the owner should be on the spot when you expect guests to come. As we said the room itself was perfect. It was the breakfast that we ordered for the next day that lowered the rating. Breakfast is 7 euro per person. We got very old bread, cold eggs with ham, tomate and cucumber. Plus a plate with cheese and meats that were spoiled and had fungus spots all over. No drinks initially. The owner said she "bought" the breakfast at an hotel which we don't believe. Hotels would never service this. So old, cold and spoiled. After a negotiation the owner gave us back the money for the breakfast. The only right thing she could do in our opinion. Nobody would accept food like this. There fore I can not recommend this place.
