Nice installations, clean, beautiful, has bigs gardens, has pretty pools (2) and is quiet place. Good ratio between price and place. Excellent typical food at restaurant. There are places for celebrate bridals and some other parties

The hotel is practically new, everything very well maintained. Although staff is not trained to serve as in a 5 star hotel, they all do their best, putting all their effort to serve, with a very friendly attitude. We were in a master suite, with lots of space and a jacuzzi in the room. The terrace restaurant is very nice, with a great view of the mountains. However, breakfast was average. The entrance to the mountain climb as well as the centre of the city are within a few blocks. Very recommended.

The hotel was clean, large enough rooms, comfy bed, AC, balcony facing the small lake, easy & quick check in and check out, parking lot, a little restaurant, friendly staff. It was 900 pesos for a night, about 45 bucks American. No complaints at all.

We arrived and there was no one to help with our lugagge and no one on the front desk, they took 15 minutes to get there, the air conditioning in the room rattled horribly the maintainance guy came and said they all sounded like that i mentioned i have ac in my house and they dont sound like that we went to another room and it didnt make the noise, the rooms that dont have a mountain view arent nice 2 hours to get settled dont expect good service The safety deposit box didnt work I asked to talk with a manager or owner and they simply said they are una le to contact them

At first glace, this place seemed cute and charming. This shortly changed when we got to our room. The stench of raw sewage was emanating from the drain of the shower. It never got better during our whole stay. Aldo the bathroom was horribly designed, and you had to duck under this low lying entrance way so you didnt smack your head...which my husbamd amd I both ended up doing on multiple occasions. The entire complex was so loud. Dogs were barking all night long and you could hear the guests talking in their rooms as if they were in the same room! What's worse is when we left, we asked for a receipt for the payment and they wouldn't give us one. They said they would email it to us, because they needed time to prepare it (weird...). After multiple phone calls and several emails the staff continued to make excuses why they hadn't sent the receipt. They were asking for information about our Mexican ID numbers, which dont exist because we aren't from Mexico (they knew that because they had copied our passports!). One month later we finally got the receipt. The hotel staff are so incompetent and aggravating. There are much better places to stay in town for the same price. Never again!

Tepoztlán is known for its beautiful views of el Tepozteco and surrounding mountains, for its innate relaxing atmosphere. You will have all that in this charmingly small hotel. It only has a handful of rooms, that means you will always feel like it is your private Villa. Service is very friendly. Although I felt that by trying to give is our space at times they left us unattended. The garden is beautiful with great views. It has a small pool to get refreshed after your sunbath and sauna for your relaxation which is included. Food is good and unpretentious. Its only fault is the bathroom toilet. Given that it is a septic tank, you may not throw anything in it, not even toilet paper and it does mot flush well. This is not practical and it made me a little uncomfortable, but all in all I would return.

Chef Ana and Robb created a once in a lifetime experience for us during our week in Tepoztlan! They made us part of their family and taught us local traditions and culture through the process of preparing amazing food and drink. I highly recommend La Villa Bonita Culinary Vacation. We will be back!

The extremely friendly and chatty receptionist knew nothing of my Expedia reservation and gave me a slightly lower price, which after she had talked to the owner became even lower which was just as well because the hotel is very basic indeed and the price being charged online is outrageous. She also waxed lyrically and repetitively about the great comfort of the beds. I have herniated discs, so this is actually rather important to me, so I was very disappointed by the rock-hard matress. The song "solid as a rock" echoed through my head all through the long sleepless night punctuated by barking dogs, cocks crowing and trucks straining to get up he hill on the nearby highway. Most hotels are horribly over-priced in Tepoztlan so this might not be a bad option for anyone wanting to explore the area without breaking the bank, but call the hotel direct, don't book online. There is no restaurant (at least we didn't see any signs of one) but the room was clean with a pleasant view.
