Second only to Berlin in size and population, the city of Hamburg is home to one of the biggest harbors in Europe. A stroll along its many waterways and canals illustrates why it has been called the "Venice of the North." Don't miss a trip to the local fish market (Fischmarkt), the Merchants District (marked by its imposing red-brick architecture), a fine dining experience along the river or a night out in the university quarter. And did we mention the Reeperbahn (red light district)? It's quite famous for its… red lights.

With a lot of passion we have developed a hotel concept that perfectly combines local cosiness, modern technology and sustainability. Check in, stay overnight, check out - that was yesterday! Our GINN hotel offers you more than just a place to sleep. It offers the perfect combination of modern technology, environmental love and joie de vivre! There is a lot in our hotel: Individually designed rooms with sustainable and fair equipment as well as carefully selected food and drinks, but above all, passion. With our personal and warm service, where you are the center of attention, you are not one of many to us, but directly part of our GINN family. Sustainability, recycling and fairness are no longer uncool! On the contrary: environmental awareness and respect for humans and animals are even really fun! At the GINN Hotel we show how it works! With us, you will experience a very special sense of us through high-quality Fairtrade products in the rooms, carefully selected ingre
New fancy hotel in Hamburg St. Pauli, close to the Fischmarkt. Rooms having a very special and cool design. I had a room facing the Elbe and the neighbour building. Great bed and linen, tea provided for free, good WIFI-signal. Breakfast was average; ordered egg dishes didn’t been served, buffet plates not refreshed, no cold cuts (sausages) available.

A hotel as humbly sized as it is priced: the smallest a&o in Hamburg, with 68 rooms, is centrally located in a quiet area at only five minutes’ walking distance from the Hammer Kirche subway station. You will find recreational options in the attractive Hammer Park with its lawns for sunbathing, miniature golf course, and landscaped garden.
I am a teacher, and we booked and paid for a booking for 18 students and 2 teachers. When ww arrived, surprise! Despite the confirmation, no rooms had been saved for us, and we could not stay at the hostel. I am still waiting for an answer from the group bookings department, who failed to find an appropriate answer at the moment, and when reached by phone only told me to be patient and understanding because they had a lot of work and they were merely employees. They know they have to compensate for the inconvenience, but they have not even answered my emails or phone calls.

Neat, relatively modern Hotel with a chic design and well appointed rooms. Everything's clean and maintained. I did not try the breakfast. There's a great asian restaurant (Wong's Delicious) right next door. Two problems prompt me to only give it 3 stars: 1. the rooms have no air conditioning. OK, so Hamburg isn't exactly tropical, but some summer days are warm enough to warrant cooling. Opening the windows is not a alternative, as the hotel is located right in the airplane approach zone, and the TV can't keep up with a landing Boeing.... 2. the parking situation in the area. If you're traveling by car, it's tough finding a parking spot nearby. The hotel has a parking garage, but the entrance to it is very convoluted with high sidewalks, which will kill your rims if you're not careful.

Booked this hotel through booking.com and glad we did. Bit far from rahlested train station which will cost you €5 but the price what you pay for the hotel is very reasonable if you book through booking.com. wanted to stay few more night but they wanted more money for the room if I booked directly but I moved to another hotel instead. But our stay was very pleasant , hotel was very clean, very friendly staff and helpful throughout our stay. Definitely go there and stay again if we go to Hamburg again.

The Holiday Inn Hamburg - Berliner Tor offers 316 modern air-conditioned rooms in the inner city area of Hamburg, a great starting point for sightseeing. Our hotel is also ideal for business meetings as we offer 5 meeting rooms for this purpose. The short distances to the public transport make this the ideal hotel for business and leisure travellers. If you are looking for a quiet area to do your emails and use our free Wi-Fi, or prefer a conversation with friends or colleagues, our spacious Open Lobby allows for all this in a relaxed atmosphere, while enjoying a drink or a meal anywhere, at any time. Guests who would like to keep in shape, can use our fully equipped in-house fitness 24/7.
All in all the hotel is quite good, unfortunately some shortcomings put it to average for us. Upon check in, was asked at the reception whether we were Covid vaccinated 2 or 3 times. The certificate itself was barely looked at and no QR code scan was done. During our 3 nights stay, this was correctly done when entering Restaurant for breakfast, so why not at first contact point Reception? Upon entering our room (336), immediately noticed that it was rather cold inside. Normal if a window is open and aircon set at lowest level… Noticed as well that some empty shopping paper bags and some used brochures had most probably been forgotten during cleaning. In fact the bags were rather big and could not be overseen… Worse however were 2 used plastic cups in the bathroom, once again impossible to oversee them! The room itself was quite ok if you do not consider some stains on carpet and chair, however the very small wardrobe is kind of bad joke. ONE small storage compartment for a double room and no other storage possibilities in the room is far from standard! Breakfast on Sunday morning was rather chaotic with a completely full restaurant. Why not attribute time slots in order to avoid such a situation? This is done in some hotels and is rather helpful. On the day of our departure, somebody knocked at our room door at 08.45 am. Quite astonished that it was the cleaning lady who asked at what time we would leave... Had never experienced such acting in any other hotel also considering the check-out time of 11.00 am

I stayed a little more than one month in April 2022 in one of the medium-sized apartments. First, it felt more like a hotel than an apartment, but the price was very good at the long-term stay rate. Not hotel prices for basically hotel service. Cleaning was every four days from arrival with some confusion related to holidays. But you just check with the staff about the schedule. The staff are very friendly, helpful and available 24/7. The room was exactly as described on the website. The major downside with the room (which is evident in website photos) is that the kitchen sink is so small as to be almost unusable. Basically the “kitchen”, to the extent there is one, is not really useful for more than periodically frying a couple eggs, which is about all that I used it for. The huge downside is that the neighborhood is very, very upscale and chic and there’s limited low-to-moderate end restaurant options. Forget about fast food. I was constantly taking the bus a half hour to the St. Georg neighborhood to eat out. Another downside was that the view of the inner courtyard from my window was bleak. It desperately needs some trees planted. There was an excellent and large gym in the basement that is basically unused by any guests. Oddly this made it undesirable for working out because of the strange feeling of loneliness working out. I would actually recommend that the hotel make an arrangement for guests with the popular gym next store and shut down the hotel gym. What else? There are many really nice parks walking distance and the hotel is easily accessible to most anywhere in Hamburg with buses or U/Bahn, S-Bahn. I would only not stay here again because I would have preferred to be in a more gritty neighborhood. By the way, the hotel was recommended by a language school where I was taking classes. If this review seems somewhat contradictory, that is ok? Perhaps the summation is that this was a good place to stay, but not a fun place to stay.

Another visit at this great city hotel. I appreciate the quiet, residential location with easy access to public transport. Sometimes I stay here with my partner, other times on my own. I do feel very safe here as a single female traveler. For me, everything is perfect, from the friendly staff, the clean, modern rooms, the comfort of the bed, the bedding, to the quality of the breakfast. Excellent value for money!

It's hard to understand the terrible reviews Ok, this hotel isn't the Ritz or the Savoy but for the money you should not expect it to be. I found it to be spotlessly clean. My room and bed were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good value at 6 euros. It's classed as a budget hotel and if that is what you want you won't be disappointed.

Great little place. I was apprehensive after reading online reviews but found not much wrong with this place. Friendly & funny check-in by Abdul, well furnished room, clean, decent shower. I had a great night sleep and fab breakfast in one of the Turkish bakeries across the road. Would stay again.
