Hotel was immaculate. There was always a food option that we wanted to eat. Staff were wonderful and exceptionally helpful. Perfect location... 10 minute walk to beach, but plenty far away enough from the strip. Utilise the restaurants at the other sites which can be booked for free if you have gone all inclusive! Food at Aqua was amazing. Only comment would be to ask the staff to be more vigilant on people 'reserving' sunbeds with their towels. 2 days we went out to the pool area and were unable to get a bed due to them all being taken by towels, despite there only being 3 or 4 people in the pool for the 20+ empty beds reserved with towels. Other than that - exceptional hotel. Will definitely be using MGM hotels at other locations in the future.

Towels start being left on sunbeds at 7am, they have all been reserved by 9am, then left empty for hours. We have been staying at the Areias twice a year since it opened and have never seen it this bad.

Back again. 1 & 2 bed apartments with kitchen with a fridge, washing machine, microwave & Hob for cooking. All have balconies. The kitchen is handy to prepare food as with covid regulations the restaurant/cafe/bar is closed so is the gym, sauna & indoor pool. The outdoor pool is open adult & kids pool but is not heated. The complex is quiet & good for families & couples. It has a garage for cars & parking outside as beach a 10-15 min walk if you have pushchairs or walking issues about 5–10 in the car. There is a cafe 5 mins walk away that has a bar & sells food like sandwiches & pastries. Also a supermarket that sells enough things if self catering & has a small cafe selling snacks & pastries too. We have also used the Uber food app to order in when we have stayed in & it seemed to work. Warning if arriving in the evening due to covid sometimes reception closes at 6pm & a code needed to access building so check if you have an evening arrival that you can be let in & get to your apartment. Pools have reopened thus week & has been filled with clean water after repairs last week but not heated. Maybe not one for groups of people who like to be in the centre of things as in a more residential area but for those who want more space & not so noisy good & don’t mind a walk or drive to the beach.

Stayed at this hotel for only one night but would’ve been happy to stay longer! A lovely quiet location with comfortable bed, nice dinner and breakfast in a traditional style hotel! Great prices too! Would definitely recommend for a chilled out stay!

In a paradisiacal setting, overlooking the sunset and the Praia da Luz beach, the elegant Belver Porto Dona Maria features an 800 square metre saltwater swimming pool. The property's accommodations are complete houses that can accommodate up to eight people. The refined units feature a balcony or terrace, bathtub, TV and kitchen equipped with minibar, microwave, oven, toaster and kitchenware. Depending on the category, the windows overlook the sea or the gardens of the establishment. In addition, some units have a private swimming pool and bread delivery service is available. Here guests will find a golf course, a games room, a meeting space, free Wi-Fi in public areas and free parking. All meals are served at the Belver Porto Dona Maria itself, which features one restaurant, one pool bar and one snack-bar. Burgau Beach and Luz Beach are 3 km away, while Ponta da Piedade Lighthouse is a 20-minute drive away.
Stayed in the Porto Dona Maira resort in the first week of August 2019. But must explain that we stayed in a privated villa and not the hotel, so this review is really on that villa. Villa was just a few meters from hotel reception, which is were the resprt bar is. Stopped for a drink when we were walking around and was greeted by a very nice staff member ( he was a man in his 60s), made us feel very welcome. Had a walk around the resort and it looked ok ( didnt see into the hotel or hotel blocks). Hotel pool looked ok and surrounding grounds looked clean and ok, seen some comments about waste lands and all that, yes a few o f this, but these are villa sites for sale, could they be clean up and kept a certain level ( yes) but its the same all over these areas so no big deal to us. Our villa had 3 bed rooms ( 2 doubled and one twin) with 3 bathrooms ( 2 ensuites, one just across from room), private pool and roof top terrance. Villa had everything needed, included sky sports and movies. Walk to resort from Praia da Luz is about 30mins, but not that bad, can go over the cliffs, but really tge same time, taxis are between 6.50/ 8.00€ for 4, so again not bad. No noise and lovely wind to keep you cool.

Quite central but on a quiet street with easy parking, easy check-in, smiling staff; clean room with small terrace, clean bathroom (shower) continental breakfast with warm croissants (!). Perfect for an overnight in São Bras.

very reasonably priced, and clean, a place for a good night’s sleep. Central location too, easy walk to much of what Faro offers, and close to the bus and railway stations too. The staff were so helpful as well - much appreciated, everyone!!

The room is part of a complete apartment in a private building, on the edge of the old town. We had a few days the room Hearts with private bath and balcony (shared). A little & small room, but neat and clean. With elevator in the building, 4th floor. DISADVANTAGE: the building is close to the police and right on the approach lane from the airport, so it's quite loud until midnight, even longer on the road ahead. No breakfast, selfcatering, no room cleaning - not all fellow guests are considerate.

Bathroom looks more civilized than the ones we have had thus far with a nice shower. They have a nice facility here with well-kept grounds. At night lights come on automatically as you enter, a very nice feature. The bedroom is a nice size (room 8) with a king bed and nice pillows. There was a refrigerator, but no safe. No light over the desk for working on your computer in the evening. Limited plugs available for electronics. No luggage racks provided so suitcases had to be opened on the floor. They should give you two of these. They provided us with a wine opener, but no wine glasses or even cups and water. Why bother with the opener? They do serve a very nice breakfast in the morning, included you’re your room charge. The facility is located on top of the hill quite a ways from downtown.

Potrei continuare.... Grazie, non cambiate mai!!!
