An enigmatic treasure trove of almost unimaginable archaeological and cultural riches, it's hard not to think of Egypt without imagining the Sphinx, the pyramids at Giza, Luxor, the Valley of the Kings and the Nile. As well as being the world's largest open-air museum, Egypt also offers a slew of luxurious Red Sea resorts, many within reach of spectacular snorkeling, diving and windsurfing. Whether you see it by riverboat, from camelback or from just above the coral, Egypt's sights are unforgettable.

We had a fantastic holiday and everything was amazing, from the restaurant to the pool, from the beach facilities to the diving center, from the lush green garden to the lounge area. The hotel staff was really helpful and the food was excelent. We bought amazing essential oil from the local pharmacy within the resort.

Hotel was clean, food was good, staff friendly, would recommend this hotel for a cheap stay in Sharm-El-Sheikh. We arrived a day late and the hotel staff were very accommodating. We had a trip to the Pyramids and they provided packed lunch for us all to take. Nice shop in the hotel which sold snacks, drinks and essential stuff. Regular mini bus to various beaches. Bottled beer was all inclusive, as well as wine and soft drinks, Wi-Fi in foyer area.

The hotel was clean, it had all the basic necessities, the location Great! But the best part of our experience was the amazing staff members. Specially Ahmed Shahawy the hotel manager. My wife and I were supposed to stay for only one night, but she ended up getting sick with bronchitis and laryngitis. She ended up in the emergency room. Ahmed was there with us every step of the way, he took us to the hospital, to the specialist, to the pharmacy and back to the hotel. He accommodated us on a bigger more comfortable room. I tried to give him a $200 USD tip but he refuse the tip. He said “I am just doing my job” We had to extend our stay for a week or so or until my wife was strong enough to travel. Every day we were there, the staff members asked how my wife was doing, they went out of their way to make special teas and food that were not in the menu and took it to our room. I also like to thank the night staff clerk who went in on his day off to take my wife and I to the follow up appointments to translate. Unfortunately I can’t remember his name. I attempted to tip him and his response was “ no need for that, it was my pleasure to help you”. We were treated with care and kindness and for that we will always we grateful.

We stayed here for one day and had a lot of fun. Location is feet from the jetty. Everyone here was very friendly (carried our luggage up flights of stairs). Take them up on dinner. We had grilled fish which was amazing! We walked to Aswan museum, took boat ride around Elephantine island and walked around the area untildark. Left at 5:45am next morning and owner was up and walked with us down to the ferry. Very nice and unexpected.

After traveling through Egypt for 6 weeks, Marsalam was my last stop and by far my favorite!! Deep South Eco Lodge was a home away from home. My Shalla was clean, well decorated and very comfortable. It is within walking distance to the beach and an amazing fish restaurant that only serves fresh catches of the day. Fady, the manager is such a helpful and kind soul and just great company overall! You can spend your days snorkeling, diving or hiking around and spend your evenings having great conversations with other guests while star gazing! The Dive shop is literally a 5 min walk away. I had some of the best dives I've had in Egypt there with the Deep South Dive Shop, I highly recommend Diving with them! It was truly paradise! The stars here are really worth the visit alone. I can't wait to come back to this place! Don't miss out at staying at this amazing Gem!

I spent 3 nights at the Royal Maadi Hotel (previously known as Residence Hotel). The service was the best, better than any 5 star- literally. Any issues, they come right away, the housekeeping was extremely helpful and on top of everything with personalized service, the concierge very helpful, and the reception very polite and courteous. When my daughter got stain on the walls the manager was very courteous and accommodating. They also brought for me flowers and fruit per my family's request. I took a 3 bedroom suite which was an apartment. Each bedroom had a queen size bed. There was also a dining area, salon area, kitchen, and bathroom. The style was a bit outdated but the availability and convenience of everything made up for it. There was microwave, fridge, toaster, oven, kitchenware, ironing board, tv, and desks. I appreciated the cleanliness- everything was covered in plastic and sanitized. Breakfast was very basic with boiled egg, jam, bread, cheese, OJ, tea/nescafe. Delivery is easy through talabat app where I ordered things from the pharmacy and other restaurants. The hotel is keen about safety so no delivery persons come to the room, instead the concierge will carry up the item and you give him the money. I made sure to leave a tip for both him and the person delivering. There are also a few restaurants and cafes downstairs although I didn't try any. One is particularly famous in Maadi for breakfast called Ovio (?). The location is quiet, removed from the hustle and bustle of Cairo, and a view of trees and greenery specific to Maadi. I loved the balcony to relax in. I totally recommend this hotel for short or extended stay. Special thanks to Mr. Sayed the manager, Ms. Asmaa the receptionist, Ms. Heba the housekeeper, Mr. Nour/Nouh the concierge. Excellent service and help from them.
