Lovely, reasonably priced pension with continental breakfast in the heart of the Spreewald. Obliging host gave me a lift to and from the train station. He and the staff were very hospitable and friendly. I had a splendid room with bath on the second floor, and enjoyed the fact that I was only 5 to 10 minutes from a kayak rental on the Spree, the bike rental, and lovely walks in the pastoral countryside. An ideal destination and a great base for exploring this splendid area.

We travelled here with a young adult respite group for a charity called The Jumbulance Trust and it was suggested this is the best accessible hotel in Europe - on this evidence I could not disagree with that! The hotel is very well presented throughout, food is good, its a great location (lakeside views and close to the small town of Rheinsberg) but its the adapted facilities that make this - wetrooms, hoists, shower chairs, lower height bars and reception desk, adjustable beds, swimming pool withh ramps and hoists. Its amazing. A long way to travel by road (the only option for these groups) and its a good drive to places of interest like the Baltic coast and Berlin, but well worth it

The room was nice, however the facilities were not meeting any excpetations. The sport area was worn down and not fresh. The dinner buffet was not any heathly alternatives. the location is odd, perelberg is no city fot sightseeing, thus you need to have a bike vacation or similar.

The Sporthotel Neuruppin, situated close to the historical town center of Neuruppin and a beautiful lake, is a 3-star superior hotel. All rooms are modern and comfortably furnished, including TV, phone and internet access. They all have modern bathrooms with a shower and toilet. The price includes a wonderful breakfast and the use of our spa and fitness area. The center of the hotel is our attractive restaurant with a pond right in the middle. Our chef and his team as well as the very friendly service are going to offer you delicious meals and drinks. The multifunctional sports komplex contains 4 indoor and 4 outdoor tennis courts, 4 badminton and 2 squash courts, a modern fitness center and 10 bowling-alleys. After physical activity you can relax in our sauna area that consists of 5 different saunas, a swimming pool and a garden outside. In addition there are various swimming pools, whirl pools and kids pools inside.
Reception people were really friendly and very helpful . This is a big facility with all kinds of indoor sporting activities and initially we were a bit nervous that it would be impersonal but it was to the contrary. Rooms were really clean , bright and with several windows. Bathroom very clean with toiletries. Bed comfortable. Excellent bike storage . Restaurant was very nice with large Koi and turtle pond in center of tables . Really nice touch . Servers were gre at - food selections were multiple, good and reasonable . Very close to Netto and Aldi . More than adequate breakfast with hot and cold food choices . Will stop here again on another bike journey .

I suppose the somewhat spartan facilities here, resembling an upmarket youth hostel, are down to the target clientele. Younger people and/or hardy outdoorsy types, needing a cheap and cheerful base from which to sample the beauties of the Spreewald with its lakes and rivers and forests and its remote, timelessly old little towns and villages. As such, job done, I guess. The premises are clean and fresh and comfortable, the riverside setting is lovely (even with the frogs in full-throated chorus through the night - a strangely soothing sound!), and as a thoughtful bonus the rooms are mosquito-proofed. But we were rather taken aback to discover that many rooms, including ours, are not en-suite. There were shared washing/shower-room/lavatories along the corridor (1 M, 1 F). OK. Perhaps we didn't read the specifications closely enough. But not even a little sink in the rooms for hand washing? Moreover, one toilet bowl each for males and females is not enough. And worst of all were the communal (two people) male and female showers, of the penny-pinching sort that switches off after 10 seconds. That's just mean! You have to lean on the faucet. It's like a campsite. Meals - a good basic buffet breakfast (charged extra) with fresh ingredients, plus drinks and hot snacks available from reception - are fine as far as they go. Beeskow is a handsome little town with a castle. There's mooring and a fishing jetty. So either make sure you book en-suite, or at least be aware of the shortcomings. Then it'll be fine. Apart from the showers, that is.

We loved this hotel! It is an excellent mix of old architecture and eclectic, minimalist modern touches. Our room is listed as an "appartment," (for us English speakers, Ferienwohung means "vacation apartment") not a "hotel room," and that is an apt description. Refrigerator, stove, kitchen sink, tools to cook. There is a lot of space to move around. The ceilings are high. The bed is large and comfortable. The bathroom has a very nice walk-in shower. The building still has its old "Fachwerk," the structural wood beams that are common in old European houses. Different from many charming old buildings that have been thoroughly modernized into glossy, clinical, repetitive, rectangular copies of each other, this hotel retains its old-world charm and warmth. Here, you know that you are in Germany! Our room is quiet, clean, and interesting to look at. This room/apartment has a large balcony. There is a spacious elevator. Finding the parking lot in the back of the hotel can be a little tricky. Just call the front desk. You will have to go to one the nearby cafés for breakfast, or you can make your own. On some mornings there is an open-air market where you can buy the things you would need to make your own breakfast. Next-door to the hotel is a is a restaurant that serves excellent German food, and offers some very good German beers. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time to stay here. Next time!
