The mosques, bazaars, and Turkish baths of Istanbul could keep you happily occupied for your entire trip: an eyeful of breathtaking architecture here, a good-natured haggle over a carpet there. Kick your trip off at the awe-inspiring Sultan Ahmet Camii (Blue Mosque), which is visible from many points of the city. Stroll the Galata Bridge and stop by the Miniaturk Park to see its tiny artifacts. The Grand Bazaar has thousands of shops to browse, while the Egyptian Bazaar is a fragrant trove of spices and fruits.

Cagaloglu Hamami (Turkish Bath) was built in 1741 to provide revenue for both the library of Mahmut I, the Ottoman Sultan of the time, in Hagia Sophia Kulliye (social complex) and for Hagia Sophia Mosque. Architectural plans of the bath was designed by Suleyman Aga, the architect of the court, and the bath was built by Abdullah Aga. Before the construction of Cagaloglu Turkish Bath, the palace built by Nevsehirli Damat Ibrahim Pasa stood on the same location. The palace was destroyed by a fire in 1740, and construction of the Cagaloglu Bath started soon after. The bath has both historical and architectural importance as it is the last great Turkish bath constructed before Sultan Mustafa III prohibited the construction of great baths in 1768, due to the increasing water and firewood needs of the city. Cagaloglu Bath is one of the largest double Turkish baths of Istanbul. Baroque style novelties, a rarely seen quality in Ottoman architecture.
I had the Ottoman Luxury service and had the best experience of Turkish bubble bath followed by massage by Yahya, who ensured I truly enjoy my time. I don’t feel bad saying that I have never felt so clean in my life before. Will definitely recommend to everyone visiting Istanbul for the first time.

The Historical and Luxurious Art of BathingHistorical and Architectural Features“I hope that until the end of days, good hearted friends who take a look at what I have made, when they will perceive the seriousness and the spirit of my effort, can have a fair view and can invoke my name to pray for me.” Mimar Sinan, ArchitectThe Ayasofya Hurrem Sultan Hamam in Istanbul was designed and built by Mimar Sinan, the chief Ottoman architect. It was built at the request of Hurrem Sultan (Roxelana), the wife of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in the 16th century. It was built where the ancient public baths of Zeuxippus used to stand, between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. The area is also particularly significant as the site where the Temple of Zeus once stood.
Amazing experience, worth every penny, amazing massage, if you have any concerns or worries about having a first hammam experience you are in the best hands here. Highly recommend! Will be back for sure next time I am in Istanbul

We service Turkish Bath, Oil massagges, Face Care treatments in our Spa. We are located in 4 Stars Askoç Hotel
We never understood how our time was going in there. It's been a long time since I've had such a pleasant time. The staff is concerned and friendly. The massages and skin treatments were great. I loved the decrease in black spots after skincare, i decided to go once a week and relax both my skin and my body. If you want to go with your friends or spouse, I can definitely recommend it.

I turned up at 3pm without a booking and was told to come back at 4pm which was fine. I had a haircut and pedicure. Sevgir was really lovely! She first cut my hair. As a hijabi, she was very respectfully and shut the door to the women's section so no else/men could come in. I loved the haircut and blower dry she gave! Never looked this good before, even with haircuts in the UK. She then gave me my pedicure and offered to paint my nails but I refused which she was totally understanding about. Definitely worth coming here! Also reasonably priced.

Having looked for days for a Hammam parlour I came across the Sultan Suleyman. Speaking to Emad on Whatsapp and phone he was informative, kind and very respectful. He gave me all the information I needed and in a timely manner. The service itself was second to none. A clean and professional environment in which Mohand provided me an amazing Hammam and massage experience and my wife received an equally as amazing experience by Sabiha. They took their time and made sure we were comfortable and always looked after. I’d highly recommend this place to everyone. Feel comfortable and secure knowing these guys are the best at what they do!
