The moody, romantic Scottish Highlands start at Loch Lomond just north of Glasgow. Comprising a slew of mountain ranges, this sparsely populated land is best seen by train on the West Highland Line. Mountains, lochs, bright heather and rhododendrons give way to white sand beaches and rugged coves as the train nears Mallaig. For a more active take on the region, hike the West Highland Way or visit the Trossachs National Park. Ben Nevis, a popular climbing spot, looms over the town of Fort William.

A year ago I wrote that this beauty salon has moved from Strath yet the same out of date photo is being used - so I attach an up to date one. It is now by the Community Centre and school. The salon has tanning towers, beauty treatments and hairdressing. Hairdresser Gloria does an excellent job and the place is very friendly and welcoming to visitors as well as the many local people who use it.

I am a professional local massage therapist and I offer a list of holistic therapies from my salon. I am situated on the stunning shores of the Beauly Firth what better place to treat yourself to one of my tranquil treatments. Ample parking is available and you will be well looked after getting the Karmic-Wellbeing experience to soothe your mind body and soul. A must on your holiday.
I'd recommend a visit to Karmic Wellbeing 100%. The setting, on the shores of the Beauly Firth, is gorgeous, the space is beautifully organised, and every effort is made to maximise your comfort and relaxation. Vivienne is a star; as well as being highly qualified and skilled in a wide range of treatments, she is absolutely committed to improving the wellbeing of her clients and has a unique way of making you feel relaxed from the moment you walk through the door.

My daughter and I booked in a full body massage with Lucinda and Anne on a meandering trip through Scotland. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Starting with a hot tub and Prosecco, we were then ushered into a double treatment room (on request). This was followed by two bloody fantastic massages. Lucinda and Anne were professional and very friendly. We left feeling well taken care of.

While very happy to pay to enter, the happy hour pricing of £1 per person tempted us to wait half an hour to enter for this bargain price. This does not reflect what you get when you're in the pool. Harking from elsewhere in the UK, this very well equipped pool came as a great surprise. Wave machine, rapid river, three flumes and great toddler pool make this a must-visit for families. We had a great hour here.
