The town that gave the country (and port wine) its very name, Porto is Portugal’s second-largest metropolis after Lisbon. Sometimes called Oporto, it's an age-old city that has one foot firmly in the industrial present. The old town, centered at Ribeira, was built on the hills overlooking the Douro River, and today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 14th-century São Francisco church is a main attraction, as are the local port wine cellars, mostly located across the river at Vila Nova de Gaia.

Shambala means in Sanskrit "a place of peace, happiness and tranquility". Some say "that Shambhala is a purely imaginary land, but others say it is a real place, and that it can still be found, only if the browser knows where and how to look." It allows you to feel, relax, rediscover yourself. My mission is to help you connect with you, disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, so that you will be reunited step by step. Based on these values, you find in Shambala a refuge from the stress of everyday life. Through a diversity of therapies, workshops, and with the accompaniment of experienced and specialized professionals, who will assist you in the path of your rediscovery and reunion with your Self.

We are a massage center, specialists in Oriental therapies, located in the Baixa of Porto. We create a nice, clean and safe space for your enjoyment.
I had a 60min deep tissue massage with Ana Rita, and it was wonderful - the whole experience. At the entrance you are welcomed by kind and professional staff who explain the types of massages you can have, and will advise you as needed. Then you are seated in a waiting area (for not more than a couple of minutes until your massage therapist picks you up) with tea or water, putting cozy slippers on. Once you get in the cozy and warm massage room you have enough space and time to get decent before the massage starts. As I had a deep tissue massage, I knew I was in for a (painful) treat. As a person who does sports regularly, I had many knots and tense areas. Starting with overall warming up, Ana Rita worked her way all the way to focusing on every one of the troubled areas, making me truly feel that a difference is being made in my body. To sum up in a couple of words: welcoming environment with very pleasant staff and top level massage skills. Thank you!
