10 Spas & Wellness in New Mexico That You Shouldn't Miss

June 17, 2021 Viva Honore

With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

I treated myself to a 90 minute deep tissue massage after a long day of travel. The facility was a serene hacienda style structure and a staff that was attentive and intuitive to the body’s needs. I did not want to leave, but did feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated with the best massage I’ve ever experienced.

Absolutely worth your time!!! From the start of booking our massages to the end was a great experience. Cheris was my massage therapist and she was amazing!! Listened to what my needs were and massaged away!! I then added on an Aveda plant based Glycolic peel from Meagan who I absolutely loved!!! She was extremely knowledgeable and gave me great advice on skincare!! The treatment was wonderful and if I lived closer she would be my esthetician!! Loved my entire experience!!! My friend had Fabian as her massage therapist... and said he was probably the best she has ever had... can’t wait to visit again and come back to this spa!!!

Amy was such a great Yogihiker! We were in Santa Fe for two days and a Yogihike was time well spent! The hike was so beautiful! It was not a difficult hike (for anyone who might be worried about that) It was a great balance of hike and yoga (not strenuous) My husband is not a huge yogi, so I was a little worried about the level of the class. Amy was very inclusive, her cues for poses and breath were so helpful! We both had an amazing experience and definitely recommend it for those who love yoga and the outdoors!

I was staying in Taos over Christmas, searching for a massage facility & was beyond surprised to find this place open in the evening on Christmas Day! I read the reviews, amazed to see so few, though all were excellent. So I took a chance—& was greatly rewarded! I had asked Kalidas for firm pressure & got exactly that. He was attentive with draping, used just the right amount of sunflower oil & avoided with ease the lipoma, benign fatty tumor, on my shoulder. I highly recommend Kali as a go-to massage therapist & I certainly will on my next stay here.

Alona reached out to me quickly and very carefully listened to my unique needs after abdominal surgery. On the day of our appointment it had snowed but she was on time. I felt like she was a friend I had known for years even though we had only just met. She gave me a very relaxing experience with some techniques I had not experienced before. My body felt very rewarded for all the great work it has done during my recovery. I already have booked a massage with her for my daughter, and will definitely schedule with her again for myself and as gifts for others. Alona is very skilled and professional, and wore a mask for our protection. I love the in home massage option she offers!

My hubby and I just happened upon this little spa the last time we were in Santa Fe. It's down the street from the historic square which means the prices are lower. The place is clean, not fancy like a hotel spa but clean and comfortable. The massage....WOW. We went two days in a row and would have gone more if we could have fit it in. Again, not the feel of a 5-star hotel spa but clean, safe and VERY affordable!! It's always our FIRST stop when we get into SF!
