Berlin is an edgy city, from its fashion to its architecture to its charged political history. The Berlin Wall is a sobering reminder of the hyper-charged postwar atmosphere, and yet the graffiti art that now covers its remnants has become symbolic of social progress. Check out the Weltzeituhr (world time) Clock, topped by a model of the solar system, then turn back time by dining at the historic Zur Letzten Instanz, a 16th century restaurant that was frequented by Napoleon and Beethoven.

Had such a wonderful time here. The salt pool is amazing and is like meditation on steroids. You just float around with your eyes closed listening to music and get lost in your own world. I could have stayed for probably 2-3 hours in there. The saunas were all great as well. They have many options to choose from, a 45˚C steam room, 60˚C spa, 80˚C spa and a 90˚C spa. They all require you to be naked which I thought would be much more strange than it was. As soon as everyone is naked it really means nothing, even standing right next to people of the opposite sex. I loved the 90˚C spa salt treatment (i think they run it every hour?), where you are in for 5 minutes, rub salt all over your body then go back in for another 5 minutes. After a night of drinking couldn't ask for a better detox. Would highly recommend.
