Glaciers, crevasses and snowy pinnacles make this area a challenge for skiers.
DEFINITELY incorporate this destination into your travels! The drive alone is an experience. Plenty of lookout points & hike along the route if you really want to take your time. I cant count how many times I said "OH MY GOD!"

Beautiful park and a perfect place to let kids run, play with the dog, or just walk around after eating at the soda shop next to the museum. Its tranquil. I'm surprised that more people weren't there.

Mission Ridge is in the heart of Washington State where the jagged peaks of the Cascade Range meet the high rugged desert of eastern Washington. A volcanic past has created a ridge where snowcapped peaks shimmer on one side and the Columbia River rolls majestically through eastern Washington on the other. But don’t let the view distract you, Mission Ridge has over 2000 acres to explore. Carve tree lined groomers, float through wide open bowls, wiggle through glades or scream down narrow chutes. Now throw in tons of sunshine, heaps of dry snow, and reams of velvety corduroy and you have Washington’s most distinctive winter playground. Make us your Mission this season.
I skiied Mission Ridge for the first time since 2002 on December 30th, 2019. Really great quantity and quality of terrain, more modern lifts, great new main lodge, and great snow quality, a hard-to-find feature lately. I am a Seattle-resident skiier who grew up skiing Mount Baker when I lived further north. As a retired "super-senior" now I have inexpensive season passes at Baker, Snoqualmie, and Stevens. I got back in shape starting with the 2017/2018 season. Warmer temperatures have delayed and degraded ski area snow quality along the west side of the Cascade Range last season and this season. Very late coverage, then too much thaw and refreeze. Very difficult to groom. Mission Ridge is the answer. Colder weather on the east side of the range. Less snow you say? Not since they invested in Sun Valley style snow making. And they have some of the best grooming around. Cheap, quality hotels in central Wenatchee are 20 minutes from the parking lot. Buying a pass there first, next year.

Located outside of Spokane, this mountain region offers skiing and other outdoor activities.
We took our granddaughters here for ski lessons. They had a great time. While they were in their lessons, we got to ski the rest of the mountain including some excellent expert runs. The stone hut at the top of the mountain was funky with a fire crackling in the stone fireplace.

Great snow! Friendly staff. The scenery is off the charts. Prices for lifts are very reasonable (I think the view of Mt. Shuksan is worth the price of the lift ticket) and there is always loads of snow.

Popular ski resort features the "Sunkid Wonder Carpet," a "moving sidewalk" that transports beginner skiers and snowboarders 70 feet up the hill.
Great snow and views. Limited parking so beware even if you have a lift ticket. If you park on the street on a heavy snowy day, bring shovel, the plows will pack you in. Great local feel with friendly staff.
