Total disaster. Arrived thismorning with my 22 year old son for trip of a lifetime. Trip promptly cancelled because no-one to greet us at the locked up Kookaburra Air starting point. Had to phone them to see what was happening. Got the weekend duty guy on phone. Think he was in bed. He knew nothing of our booked trip. He called his boss. He confirmed (after I had to call him back as was still in Uber clocking up the $$$) that his boss said “sorry” but they hadn’t received the booking from Viator/Trip advisor. Specifics: Booking was confirmed by email on 13/12 by Trip Advisor. $1780.00 taken from my visa for tour on 30/12. Booking reconfirmed yesterday by text with link to ticket. One day later - kookaburra Air knew naught? Don’t know who is responsible for the human and/or IT error. Regardless, we so so sadly missed out on what sounded like the trip of a lifetime. Cannot even try to do another day because of time constraints. We are so disappointed. Icing on cake. Trip Advisor/Viator have informed me they will not pay for the cost of my Uber to get to the “non-event”. I actually threw the Uber driver $30 cash in his window as he was leaving because he didn’t want to charge us for our trip back from Kookaburra Air to Darwin. On principal I will be chasing trip advisor/Viator down legally if they do not cough up the $31.00 Uber cost which they have said they will not cover.

This cruise is a magical way to beGIN your evening in Darwin. This short one hour sunset soiree combines the setting of the tropical sun with the instant relaxation that comes with a sundowner. With a boutique Top End gin in your hand, you will unwind as a purr of the motors take you past a coastline holding secrets of times gone by to find a saltwater spot where you will see the dazzling rays of the sun as it dips to the horizon. Then, with ice cubes clinking in a glistening glass reflecting the colour palette of the sunset, a sense of relaxation will take over as Darwin Harbour unfolds before you during twilight time. On this cruise you’ll taste some flavoursome Top End gin - a wonderful aperitif before stepping ashore where your evening continues. Perhaps relaxed seafood flavours on Stokes Hill Wharf, or maybe a scrumptious dinner and gin cocktail at any one of the myriad of Darwin Waterfront Restaurants. The choice is yours!
Inclusions: Restroom on board, Dinner, Alcoholic Beverages
Exclusions: Transport between the Dock and the Restaurant - this is self paced.

The tour will depart from Darwin Airport, where you prepare for some of the most phenomenal sights anywhere in the world. Firstly, fly out over outback Australia, including the Kimberley region and, most noteworthy, the scenic north west coastline. Upon arriving in Kununurra, the tour will head towards the renowned Bungle Bungles. These huge sandstone towers were molded by twenty million years of erosion and weathering. This all lead to the stunning, multi-coloured pillars we see today. Moreover, seeing them from the sky is an absolutely unbeatable experience, as only from there is it possible to understand the scale and unbelieveable beauty of the ranges. Afterwards, the tour will lead you to a lesser known spectacle of the Australian Outback. Following the winding gorges of the Ord River, the tour reaches its pinnacle. Of an almost unrivaled majesty, the stunning Lake Argyle sits dormant. Revel in the beauty of this colossal freshwater lake molded by the ancient landscape.
Inclusions: Fixed-wing Aircraft, Window Seat, Free Parking, Bottled water, All Fees and Taxes

Yes, you read that right! This is a pub crawl by Helicopter. We have offered this unique tour since 2007 and over the years it has evolved into the Heli Pub Crawl it is today. This tour is not just about the pubs. It will provide an amazing look at Darwin and surrounds from above, the harbour and coastline, tropical savannah woodlands, cathedral and magnetic termite mounds, billabongs and creeks. We arrive at iconic outback watering holes with a rock star landing in your very own helicopter. You will be sure to hear your fair share of tall tales and meet interesting critters, laid back locals and the charismatic publicans that define each of the establishments.
Inclusions: Private Helicopter experience, Stubby Cooler
Exclusions: Alcoholic Beverages, Lunch
This was a real Bonza day out! 6 flight legs between pubs across some amazing terrain and views, made even better by the knowledge and commentary of our pilot Clint. Pubs are a great mix of NT watering holes and nice to kickback with a cool drink and take it all in. Absolutely recommend this tour and in its self a reason to visit Darwin. Well done Clint and team!

**I have previously emailed this feedback directly to AAT Kings allowing them the opportunity to respond in private, but since following up with them today i've been advised that it will take 6-8 weeks to respond which seems unreasonable** On Monday 10 May my family (husband + 2 children) along with my parents were passengers on your Kakadu day trip departing Darwin. This was scheduled for our last day in Darwin, and we were all very excited and couldn’t wait to go. Unfortunately, this tour was a disaster from start to finish. To begin with we were advised to be at our collection point (Argus Apartments) at 6.05am, where we then waited for approximately 20 minutes. After our pick up, we then spent almost another hour driving around Darwin picking up passengers and waiting on the side of the road whilst our driver sorted out issues. Once all of the passengers were finally on board we were advised by XXXX our driver (who by this point was in a foul mood) that our itinerary had to change, visits would be cut short and that there was “nothing he could do about it!!!” We were given no explanation for this change! Everything was a problem for XXXX from the get go, and every passenger request was met with a lecture. We were told that the toilets weren’t available due to covid (this makes no sense at all), that we weren’t allowed to close the air vents, we weren’t allowed to have milk based drinks, we weren’t even allowed to talk whilst XXXX was giving us his extremely boring commentary, because if we did he would reprimand passengers. We were lectured about not being late to hop on the bus at our first stop, yet XXXX himself was late. Everything about this trip was rushed. We had such a short time at the aboriginal rock painting sites, we were told that we weren’t even allowed to walk on any further to see additional paintings. We didn’t even receive any commentary, XXXX lectured us about it on the bus leading up to the stop as we “wouldn’t have time once we were there”. After we left this stop we had to travel to lunch where our visit was again cut down to 40 mins, but again we were lectured about how there was nothing he could do about that. We were then rushed to the spot for the yellow water cruise, where we sat in the bus for 15 mins waiting to park – why all the rush? Once on board this cruise it was lovely, and the guide Ella was the one highlight of this tour. On the way home we had a 15 minute stop at the cultural centre, with no commentary or guide. Hardly what we expected for the $1200+ I’d paid in tickets. Overall this tour was a huge disappointment. Nothing at all felt authentic, and our driver was rude beyond belief. Earlier in the day he advised that the toilets would be unlocked and available for emergency use only, yet when my young daughter was busting and couldn’t hold any longer just as we entered Darwin we found the toilets to be locked. When asking for the key, XXXX initially refused asking if she ‘really even needed to go’ before finally handing it over in a huff. This appalling behaviour was noticed by a lot of passengers. To say we couldn’t wait to get off was an understatement. We are heartbroken that this was how our last day in Darwin ended up, and that we spent so much of our spending money on what was a huge disappointment!!!! What was meant to be a wonderful day sightseeing and learning turned out to be a day of rushed stops and ongoing lectures from a driver who clearly needs to hang up his keys!!! I am doing you the courtesy of allowing you to respond privately rather than posting this publicly on Trip Advisor as per your text message asking for a review.
