We had a group of 9 in port on a cruise ship and Mark tailored a private tour for us based on specific sights and activities we were interested in. He was very informative and knowledgeable and his pre-tour coordination and communication via email and text was superb. I would highly recommend Mark for a private tour when you visit Melbourne.

I did the 1 day tour. The great ocean road is an absolute must, but probably more justified to see it over 2 days. I just didn’t quite have the time to be able to do that. I liked the fact that this company specialise specifically for the great ocean road and the guide actually lives on the great ocean road. The week before I had chosen to do a winery tour with a different company, who sell tours to multiple destinations. That was not so good and the guide’s knowledge of the local area was severely lacking. I’ll stick with the destination specialists next time. Much better.

Henry gave us a great tour of Phillip Island, aided by some beautiful weather (thanks melbourne). He was a very knowledgeable guide and just a great guy to have to spend the tour with. We had a close family friend who warned us from doing a trip down to Phillip Island. They hated it. But the more I read up on the island, the more I realised that most other people that had visited the island, overwhelmingly had a positive experience. But now I understand why my friend hated it. They took a bus tour and when we compared notes on our tour, they described the places they stopped. Well they only visited 3 stops. We visited about 10 different locations and half of them were definitely not on the tourist map as we were the only ones there. But to be honest, these were my favourite stops. They were well away from the tourist buses and in fact probably not accessible to the buses as we went down some narrow roads. But the wildlife there was out of this world. So look, if you are going to to Phillip island at all, find out where you will be taken. How much value for money are you getting. Are the tickets included. Is there an advantage to taking a private tour. How well does your group mix with other people you have never met. Do you want to go and your own pace or happy to go at the pace set by the rest of the group. Do you want to be picked up from your hotel doorstep or are you happy to jump on a tram to meet the bus tour. Obviously these are not questions my friends asked before she booked her tour. So really, do your research people or you will just end up on a tour that isn’t right for you. There are lots of options so nobody out there should be licking the wrong tour for them.unless you are a lazy click and book person like my friend!

We took a walking tour with VIC rainbow tours, the day we arrived into Melbourne. We have been to Melbourne before but pretty much walked around aimlessly and mainly stuck to the shopping malls - we do love to shop! This walking tour was well thought out and gave us a better knowledge of getting around the city. We stopped at landmarks we would otherwise have just walked past, and being a LGBT guide, James gave it the slant that we were looking for. We also took a trip with him down the great ocean road - that’s certainly not to be misse.

The famous Great Ocean Road is a must for any visitor to Melbourne. This tour is purely private and bespoke meaning we do not take other groups but yourselves up to 7 passengers. The Mercedes vehicle is spacious and air conditioned with seats custom designed for long distance driving. Unlike other tours, you get to choose which particular places and how much time you would like to spend there and we help that happen. Some places will be interesting than others and you may want to spend more time there and this is why we are flexible. The road is windy and best taken in a smaller vehicle with several stops to enjoy the views and take memorable photos Many trips are spoiled by the wrong crowd and we believe if you are going to enjoy this, make it private. This tour is great if you have children as well as we can accommodate child seats, please advise after you book.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Bottled water
Exclusions: Breakfast, We will have a lunch stop where you can buy your own lunch of preference
We absolutely loved our visit to the Yarra Valley. Our driver Melvin was friendly, outgoing and knew all the best wineries to visit. It was a great day out and we would highly recommend doing this tour with him.

Travelling on Victoria’s heritage-listed Great Ocean Road is one of the greatest road trips you can have in Australia. Our Great Ocean Road Private fully customiseable tour features amazing scenery, stories and wildlife in a leisurely drive that will have you gasping at every turn. This 244-kilometre-long stretch meanders through secret bays filled with rock pools, imposing sandstone cliffs, lush rain forests and deserted beaches. Dotted with quaint seaside towns, coastal walks and shipwrecks makes this region immensely popular. A highlight of the tour is visiting the Twelve Apostles, limestone karsts that rise majestically out of the water off the coast. We have a fleet of 9, 11 or 13 seater buses for your group and the price is for the driver/guide and vehicle, not per person. The larger the group, the better the value. The tour is fully customised and pick up is from your accommodation. We stop often and avoid the crowds, living up to our motto of ‘Let the others rush!’.
Inclusions: Coffee and/or Tea, Bottled water, Air-conditioned vehicle, Private transportation, All Fees and Taxes

We did the Mornington Peninsula Wine Tour with John and had the best experience. John was the most incredibly warm, friendly and knowledgeable host. He made everyone in the group feel super welcome. We all had the best time and it was because of John. Thank you for the most incredible day!

Our unique itinerary ensures you avoid the crowds by travelling in a reverse 'direction' missing the bus crowds and enjoying the softer morning light. We head straight to the 12 Apostles for a mid morning spectacle before exploring the coastline. On the way we drop in at a local 'Chocolate Farm' for Australian farm experience and some coffee or sweets. Your expert guide will take you down to the beach along the Loch Ard Gorge and explain the dramatic shipwreck story. Then we wind our way through Otway Ranges taking in a Rainforest walk before settling into our seaside cafe and enjoying a fresh, locally inspired gourmet lunch. After lunch we take you to one of the best ice-creameries in Australia. Afterwards traverse the Surfcoast Shire along the coastal road that meanders through beach towns and cliff edges, stopping at significant photo sights. along the way. You will discover our unique wildlife of wild Koala's in Kennet River and Kangaroo's at the Anglesea golf course.

Great day touring the Yarra Valley wineries. Steven is a friendly, knowledgeable host - gave us interesting insights and facts about the area and wineries, but also left us to enjoy and discover on our own just the right amount. The whole day ran smoothly and to schedule without ever seeming rushed. Recommend!

We had a great day with this company. Pre-tour, we dealt with James whose communication was immediate and thorough. He gave his honest option on car sickness, which was very accurate. Thankfully his recommendation of what to do worked out well and I got through it in one piece. Word to the wise, you do spend a lot of time in the car on the one day tour so car sickness might be a problem for some people. If this sounds like you and you have the additional day up your sleeve, best to pick their 2 day option. Alas, we only had one day, so we had to bite the bullet. On the day, Aaron was our guide. We got some incredible snaps, as he had a great talent for getting us to great picture spots when there wouldn’t be a lot of people there. I’m not sure if this was by accident or on purpose, but I expect the latter. He was also very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and we got to meet his wife en-route and she came out of her house beside the road, to wave to us and to give Aaron his work packed lunch for the day. It was nice to know we were being driven around by a real local. And because he was local, he really did seem to deliver us to some delightfully quiet but equally picturesque spots along the way.
