Yangshuo offers breathtakingly beautiful scenery, particularly along the hill-lined Li River, which you can tour by cruise boat or, if you’re feeling primitive, by bamboo raft. Streets in Yangshuo are kept in their original style, preserving the layout of the ancient city. Savory local specialties like beer fish and shatian shaddocks are served on West Street, one of the town's liveliest thoroughfares. Kids will adore the local butterfly cave.

Not knowing how tough the climb was going to be - we were initially ambivalent as mid 50ers in good shape. However we realized this was not a major concern when we saw elderly individuals with canes who had reached the top! Steps were uneven in places but a handrail was available for 90% of the way. All of this was a moot point when you reach the summit platform and see the incredible view of the Li River and the numerous mountain peaks - just spectacular! Don’t miss it!

This is a beautiful old bridge surrounded by green fields and mountains. It can be easily reached by car, motorbike or bicycle from Yangshuo. When you get to the bridge area there is a small cement bridge with a few food stalls and a parking lot nearby. There are usually a few ladies trying to make you park your vehicle there. Just cross the cement bridge with your motorbike or bicycle and continue on the road for 50m or so. To your left there will be a narrow dirt path that will take you to the top of Fuli bridge. The path continues by the riverside and after a few metres you'll have a platform from where you can take nice pictures of the bridge (I took the picture in this post from there).

Yangshuo offers beautiful, relaxing and peaceful travelling opportunities, such a crusing on the Li River. In the evening you want life, and yes, they do know how to enjoing themeself our Chinese friends! It is worthy to remember that the vast majority of tourists in Yangshuo are actually Chinese themselves, so West Street is a really genuine lively 'Chinese' touristic experience. Lots of good Chinese and Western restaurants. I loved it.
