Wellingborough is a market town and borough in Northamptonshire, England, situated about 11 miles (18 km) from the county town of Northampton. The town is situated on the north side of the River Nene, most of the older town is sited on the flanks of the hills above the river's current flood plain. Due to frequent flooding by the River Nene, the town was mostly built above the current level of the flood plain. Originally named "Wendelingburgh", the settlement was established in the Saxon period and is mentioned in the Domesday Book under the name of "Wendelburie". The town was granted a royal market charter in 1201, by King John of England.

Me and my boyfriend come here for various events throughout the year - Big Bang, Festival of Power, Bugjam, etc. Absolutely excellent racing venue. Plenty to see and do, including food. They hold a great variety of cars, bikes and racing/drag racing events - something to suit everyone's tastes. Would recommend! :)

The Little R’ale House Real Ale, Ciders, Wines, Soft Drinks. No Music, No TV- Just a chance to meet new friends - Like Pubs used to be! The little micro-pub on Wellingborough Station, right by the exit from Platform 1
Very quaint little place. Worth going for a quiet drink. Very good ales. Good to sit out and watch the trains go by.

I was in the area with some time to kill, so thought I’d pull over to look at the Wellingborough War Memorial. Just outside the Queen’s Head a pub at the junction of Broad Green and the A5193. It is constructed from square sectioned, Clipsham stone and is a nice feature of the local area.
