This is a really interesting church located in the historic centre of Trapani. It was built in the late 17th century and houses a collection of life-sized statues or tableaus which are beautifully carved and which are depicting the passion and death of Christ. At Easter time they are carried in procession, then restored to the Church. The multi figure tableaus were made by the various tradespeople of the town. It is an absolutely fascinating display with great atmosphere and is well worth visiting - a great insight into local culture.

We love the Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Trapani and have walked along it in the evenings many many times. You will find many good bars and restaurants in this vicinity and the atmosphere is excellent. It is such a great place for watching people and dogs go by - yes, lots of lovely dogs are taken for a stroll here. It is also a good street for window shopping and enjoying the architecture of Trapani's old historic centre.

Buying wine and olive oil to go, while having a glass of wine at "The Office", is the best way to meet locals and travellers. We went several times and just hung out. One chair and cushions for your comfort and a guitar for your entertainment. Several choices of wine to go. Excellent olive oil. Friendly staff and excellent service. This is a must to go if you want to meet people while standing around.

Nice place for a pleasant stroll along the walls. You can enjoy the lovely view over the beach, and if the weather is clear, you will see Erice.
