Forest View Farms

Forest View Farms offers a variety of horse-related activities that include boarding, lessons, summer camp, trail rides, pony rides, hayrides, horse-drawn vehicles, group events, birthday parties, petting zoo and our famous haunted hay rides. The farm's Equestrian Center caters to both English and Western styles of riding and provides lessons and training for both. We offer many facilities to our boarders and guests including a heated barn and a heated indoor arena for year-round riding. We have two outdoor arenas and several areas for turnout. The farm is contiguous to the Cook County Forest Preserve that provides our boarders and trail-riders with direct access to miles of beautiful and pristine forest preserve trails. We offer breeding, specializing in white stallions, and horse and pony sales. In the summer visit our petting zoo, featuring traditional farm animals.

We wanted to write a review because this place was so wonderful. My daughter did two weeks of camp here and absolutely loved it. She is so excited to go back again next year. She learned so much and now all she talks about is horses ???? All the staff members were very nice and easy to work with. And she absolutely loved the trail rides! We had an amazing experience and would be happy to return.

Evergreen Cemetery

Evergreen Cemetery has been providing services to the community since 1910. For more than a century, our commitment has remained unchanged, yet our services have always responded to the changing needs of the community. When Evergreen Cemetery was first established, it was built as a memorial park, and the natural beauty of a park-like setting still exists in the Knollwood, Spring Grove and Edgewood Gardens sections. As time passed, changing with the needs of the community, upright monuments were allowed, and gardens were developed with shrubs and private hedges to create the serene environment surrounding the upright memorials. Cypress Grove, Fairmount and Lawnview gardens, among others, incorporate the diversity of beautiful monuments, varied in size, color and shape, each one expressing a unique and individual personal tribute to each family they represent. Evergreen Cemetery offers gardens with gently sloping hills nestled within a wooded array of colorful foliage and trees. Cedar Hill, Maple Grove Gardens, Acacia and Forest Hill are just a few of the gardens that have many unique qualities to meet the diverse needs for individuals selecting that special place, the place that will be home for their family members for time eternal. Evergreen Cemetery has a wide array of options to fit your needs. From elegant private family estates to exquisite community mausoleums, our cemetery is a final resting place that offers peace and tranquility from generation to generation. We offer areas dedicated to veterans – our field of honor – and to churches, including St Nicholas and Monument of Faith, among others, as well as a section honoring the Patron Saint Guadalupe. Evergreen Cemetery is dedicated to supporting and honoring our community, and we are the proud home of the new Gatekeepers section with a monument dedicated to icons of the community, including Reverend Clay Evans, Apostle RD Henton, Reverend Willie T. Barrow, Father George Clements and others. Evergreen Cemetery is a place for your family to share memories, reflect on legacies, honor loved ones and to keep close those who were dear to you.
