We have spent the last few days getting the shop ready for Christmas which promises to have lots of new and exciting stock! See our Christmas village window display! We are open until Christmas Eve (half day on dec 24th). Please view our website and Instagram (#hoptrofflee) for all updates including any changes to our opening hours, directions to the shop, products, etc. You will find us in a little Dickensian building just off the High Street in the centre of Stamford, Lincolnshire, England. We have been described as an Aladdin's cave selling quirky and unusual treasures to suit everyone: antiques, vintage, collectables, interior design ideas, tools, rustic garden, tobacciana, breweriana and jewellery. Our additional retail area at The Stamford Corn Exchange Cafe and Shops on Broad street is open until Christmas Eve and has different opening times so you can always pop in there to visit too. See this venue on Facebook for full details including hours of business.

An innovative place of peace, contemplation and reflection for everyone. Situated within the conserved churchyard of the beautiful historic church of All Saints, Easton on the Hill, and just off the Jurassic Way, it is a free and fascinating destination, along with the nearby Priests House. Come and walk the labyrinth in peace.

This historic Elizabethan house (circa 1587) features a serpentine park that was designed by Lancelot Brown and a gothic greenhouse and stables.
An amazing house with wonderful interiors and very fine art. I think we saw 32 rooms and every one contained items of beauty and great interest. Right from the start we received a warm welcome (worth mentioning Jack who was so friendly and helpful). So much to see. Spent over 3 hours here taking it all in. I recommend this place and also recommend you allow enough time to take a leisurely look at everything. This is not a place to be rushed.

One of five medieval parish churches in the centre of Britain's first conservation area, All Saints' Church is living history, still in daily use for the worship of God in Christ and for celebrating the life-events of Stamford people. The building is normally open for visitors for sight-seeing, prayer or just quiet reflection between about 08:00 and 17:15 on weekdays, 09:00 and 17:15 on Saturdays, 07:30 and 19:00 on Sundays, but please be aware that changes are sometimes necessary and that services and other events can preclude casual visiting from time to time - a calendar is available on our website. Please to do not post mail to the address of the church: there is no letterbox!
I've read the stories and heard the Celtic folktales of graverobbers, ghosts in search of their graves and the Cóiste Bodhar, or Death Coach. Prominent in the Center of the town's square, her gothic steeple towering in the distance, the vivid reality of these tales sprung to life. Church courtyards, well they are real! Ancient, nameless gravestones, some with crowns etched into the templets of stone, line the stone walls surrounding the church. The evening sun sparked the characters on the stain glass windows. Where centuries collided into a single moment.

St George’s is a vibrant evangelical Anglican Church in the centre of Stamford. We are an all-age church family which meets in three congregations each Sunday and in a whole variety of small groups in the week. We look forward to welcoming you and hope that you will be able to join us soon.

Just up the street from the Bull and Swan is the tomb of Lord Burghley. The church yard and church! I wandered just to soak up the historical ambience.
