The landscape of Soller is lush and green, dotted with fruit trees and olive groves, and makes a gorgeous backdrop for a hike or bike ride. Tour the gorgeous botanical gardens or marvel at the lacy sandcastle architecture of the Sant Bartomeu Church. Fans of Antoni Gaudi may recognize the features of the Banco de Soller, which was built by Gaudi student and collaborator Joan Rubió i Bellver.

Highly recommend booking a visit. Very welcoming and easy to social distance due to the relaxed self-guided tour style. Learnt more than I would have expected and the children (aged 3.5yrs and 18 months) loved exploring as well as feeding the chickens. Delicious fresh oranges, orange juice, marmalade and traditional Mallorcan tomatoes on bread all included-lovely treat!

It took us around 40 minutes to get there as we were unsure if we were going the right way and had to ask for some help from a friendly local. To get there we followed google maps to a path called 'Travesia De Sa Capelleta'. We followed the very cobbled off route track towards the right. You can either follow the wavy path to the top or take the cobbled steps straight up to the middle- be careful as the ground is very steep and uneven. Take plenty of water! It was definitely worth the trek. It is beautiful and different to anything I've seen before. The church was closed however there were two holes in the doors which let you peer inside.

A charming little town hidden in the mountains. A must on your visit in Mallorca. We strolled in the narrow streets and had coffee at the Placa d’Espanya. Beautiful!

The outside of this church is magnificent. Wow! Unexpected treat. Alas, could not get inside. Will try again early am before getting in the road. Lovely small town plaza out front. Good people watching at night.

We have visited Soller twice before and have always assumed that this building was by Gaudi, having seen a lot of his work in barcelona. We took the time to look more closely and it really is an asset to the constitution square.
