Lijssenthoek cemetery is a fitting place to remember those who gave up everything for our futures in World War One. Being the second largest commonwealth World War One cemetery in the world, the graves stretched far and wide and gave a true glimpse into the scale of the war. On site, there is a visitors centre and a toilet block too. On a rainy, windy day the ground was not too damp, although walking shoes would be advised.
