In Canada's wine country, Niagara-on-the-Lake presents a well-preserved 19th-century village and its charms. Drive or bike through the area, stopping at wineries and Fort George National Historic Site. Ride along the Niagara Escarpment on horseback or book a white-water adventure at nearby Niagara Falls (you might have heard of them).

This is our favourite bike ride each year, from Niagara-On-The-Lake to The Falls and back!! Either Spring of Fall - during the week is best to avoid the crowds, cut off the The Parkway at the Helicopter Rides (stop lights) and ride through the town of Niagara Falls to Clifton Hill, then back down to the river (much safer!!). About 52km round trip... pack a lunch & enjoy the Falls!!

This is the St. Mark's Anglican Church in Niagara-on-the-lake. Parish 1792 -Founded Building 1805. A huge tower. Lots of trees. The church is beige. Inside the church they have Stained glass windows. They have a cemetery as well. I like this church. A must see!

Charming studio on the Niagara wine route. Husband and wife team Christine and Reid create glass and textile home decor from start to finish. The textiles are silk-screened, dyed and hand printed in the studio. Our studio/gallery also carries the work of other artists. All of the work is handcrafted.
Lovely shop selling quality, unique gifts for the home. I love that it’s a working studio and the owner/artisans are on site to explain their process. Beautiful handcrafted glasswork and gorgeous linen soft goods for the home. I even got a peak at their tiny garden out back where they were brewing up some natural dyes. A real gem! So excited to see that the shop has re-opened since Covid. The owner artist was busy during lockdown and has expanded into creating lovely hand built ceramic pieces.

Great place to learn more about the British experience in the War of 1812! Musicians, "troops" drilling in period costume, cannons, one original building and plenty of other realistically reconstructed buildings with detailed histories. Don't miss the musket firing drill! Kids loved it.

Brock's Monument National Historic Site towers over picturesque Queenston Heights, Ontario. The monument measures 56 metres (185 feet) in height and is the largest monument of its kind in Canada. Situated on the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights where British and American soldiers struggled for the destiny of two nations, Brock's Monument is the final resting place of Major General Sir Isaac Brock and his Aide-de-Camp Lieutenant Colonel John Macdonell.
Larger than life, this Monument to General Brock is set in the middle of beautiful Queenstown Heights Park. Staff dressed in period costumes greet you at the entrance. You can climb to the top if you dare! We'll worth a visit.

We went to see the Laura Secord Homestead We will learn a lot of Laura Secord Homestead. Her husband was injured. When she heard that the Americans were going to fight in our country, Laura went early in the morning that the Americans were going to attack Canada. Laura saved Canada. The soldiers were there thanks to Secord.
