Claiming to be the sunniest spot in all of Europe, the Croatian island of Hvar is the perfect destination for tourists seeking the beauty of Mediterranean beaches without the crowds associated with more well-known destinations. Pathways lined with lavender vines lead to secluded coves, small fishing villages and local vineyards, and ferries and catamarans carry visitors across the calm, blue waters to the surrounding islands, all worthy of exploration.

From eating table enjoy in spectacular view on Makarska promenade and island Brac, stunning. Ride donkeys, meet goats and taste cheese what they produce. On the farm we serve: goat cheese, vegetables, prosciutto. salt fish, sesonal salat, home made bread, traditional cake, wine, grappa, juice, olive oil... Taste plate of healthy food, relax with your friends or family and feel like home. The important thing is that you are through all time connected with nature. See you.

This fortress is not advertised very much...came across review of this on TripAdvisor, thankfully. It is absolutely breathtaking view specially during sunset! Hiking up on mounting road path is fairly easy, it's a stone path but not steep hill, very comfortable gradually uphill and takes only 45-50. You can see the whole Hvar City and all the surrounding Islands. Highly recommend, it is worth the walk. It is not a fortress you can go inside, its used as Tele communication facility now days. Do not forget your camera!

Our cruise around the Croatian Islands inevitably took us to Hvar - a real gem. On a warm Autumn day, slightly out of season, the approach to Hvar was just "Very, Very, Easy on the Eye". A really pleasant waterfront. We had a short guided walking tour - followed by further free time when we wandered through all the narrow streets. And then a realxing drink in a waterfront cafe watching the world go by. BLISS !! Sort of place where you definitely wish you had more time.
