Originally built in 1559, this castle was torn down in 1870 during the Meiji Restoration and recostructed back in 1933. Autumn is the best season to visit this castle as the autumn leaves significantly enhaced the beauty of this mountain castle. If you’re using public transportation, this castle is about 2 and half hours journey from Nagoya City. However it is recommended to drive here. It’s far away from the hustle and bustle of major tourist attraction. Definitely should give this castle a visit during autumn.

Definitely a perfect corner to heal the soul from any bad days. Yanaka Mizu-no Komichi, Gujo Hachiman, is a small stream runs down one side of the street. Yanaka Mizu-no Komichi is named after Yanaka Inari Shrine, the image of a springy town and a path. Yanaka Shrine is right next to it. “Mizu” means water and “Komichi” means path in Japanese. Water at the fountain can be drink.
