Our rare breed farm offers a unique opportunity to meet Alpacas, Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys, Falabella Miniature Horses, Poitou Donkeys, Guanacos and often new born babies. Learn many interesting alpaca facts before choosing your favourite to enjoy a leisurely stroll in the countryside. Our Craft Barn lets you get 'hands on' with our super soft fleece and the traditional methods of processing.
Had a wonderful time with the kids walking the alpacas and meeting all the other animals. We learned a lot about all of the animals and really enjoyed ourselves. We got to choose an alpaca to walk and the kids got an activity pack at the end. There is also a little shop where the kids bought some bits at a reasonable price. It was muddy, so wellies suggested. Highly recommend a trip here and will come back the next time we are up un Scotland!

Minnie , aka Hermione Makepeace , is yet another beloved comic-strip character from the iconic Beano , and was originally created by Leo Baxendale. She first appeared in the comic back in December 1953 ; a permanently 13 year old red-haired female version of Dennis-the-Menace (who just happens to be her cousin.) So, as you’ve probably guessed - she’s a very naughty girl. Here , her statue hilariously appears to be aiming a catapult at the striding back of Desperate Dan , and Dan’s dog is fully aware she’s up to no good , eyeballing her whilst straining at his leash. A fabulous 3D tribute to the D.C. Thomson characters - so much a part of so many British youngster’s childhood reading.

Not only does Dundee have 2 ???? on the city’s heraldic flag, but also this fantastic bronze verdigris statue by Tony Morrow. It has been guarding the east end of the High Street since 1994, and is a wondrous tribute to a local legend. The story goes that there was a farmer with 9 beautiful daughters. He sent his youngest to draw water ???? ???? from a nearby well. She never came back, so he sent the next daughter to fetch her, then the next & so on, until they’d all gone off searching & none had returned. Puzzled, the farmer went off to look for them all, and at the well came upon the gory sight of the remains ???? of his daughters, and a sleeping sated ????. To avenge their deaths he raises an army of villagers to attack the beast, and a heroic lad called Martin, manages to ???? slaughter the ????. Hence the nearby village of Strathmartine is believed to be named thus after ; Strike Martin.

With so many current charity Oor Wullie’s dotted about Dundee at the moment I didn’t realise that there was an original bronze one until I bumped into it on a trip through Albert Square. In situ since March 2016 it is quite easy to actually walk past without realising its there as Albert Square is dominated by the impressive McManus building and the imposing Robert Burns statue, which looks like it may be the intended target of Oor Wullie’s famous pea shooter.
