Walked the 675 steps down to the bottom of the waterfall and back up to finish opposite the hotel. Stunning views, very challenging walk with steep steps and uneven and slippery in places. Well worth the effort and time to take in all of nature and scenery. The noise and force of the water were brilliant.

An elegant Georgian villa, set in the wooded Aeron valley. Remarkably unaltered for over 200 years, this self-sufficient estate includes a farm, walled gardens and lake.
Saturday 7th September 2019. Family of 5 (ages 21 to 64). We walked here from Aberaeron - starting at a car park near the Leisure Centre. It's a nice flat walk. The house is a small manor house set in lovely grounds with a pleasant flat walk around the nearby lake. The house itself is fascinating to walk around (by yourself) with National Trust staff strategically placed to answer questions and impart loads of interesting information on the house. It's also of a size where you can do it justice rather than race from room to room. Highly recommended for a visit. We spent about 2 hours there (including the stroll around the lake). Contis cafe, on the site, serves a decent home cooked lunch too.

Grand medieval abbey where generations of Welsh princes are buried. The abbey of Strata Florida – Latin for ‘Vale of Flowers’ – has stood on lush meadows beside the banks of the river Teifi since 1201. It was established by white-robed Cistercian monks as part of a movement that spread like a tidal wave across the whole of western Europe in the early Middle Ages. Soon it became the most famous church in Wales after St Davids – a place of pilgrimage and a linchpin of Welsh culture. The displayed opening times are our general pattern. Please check the Cadw website for specific times and days, including closures.
If you're looking for a place that's full of atmosphere, this is it. Although there is only a bare skeleton of a ruined Abbey, the location of it is one that fills in the gaps of history and is really quite special. The site is mostly flat and the main body of the ruin could be accessed by wheel hairs or pushchairs. For those who are creative in writing or art, this place is inspiring. Princes were buried here and Dafydd ap Gwilym ( 14th century Welsh poet) There's a small cafe on site and a charge to go into the ruins. A car park is just opposite the site and is free. Have a look for the pilgrim!

Small shop but friendly staff. Lots of pocket money toys for children so beware of letting your children too near the shop!

A lovely walk along the pier, and rambling near the harbour, plus ice cream hut, and RNLI guards for swimming. The beach front has benches and is easy to park in, close to the castle and generally a lovely place to spend time on or off the beach.
