Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

Running parallel with Canal Saint Martin, this walkway, is perfect for meandering along, especially on a sunny day, watching the locks open, transferring boats through. Definitely a must when in Paris.

This picturesque canal, an extension of the River Seine, is a pleasant place for a boat ride or a summer stroll.
Canal Saint-Martin sits in the 10th arrondissement and is such a great neighborhood. Normally we stay in the 8th in a nice little hotel. However this time we were traveling with my son, so we air b &b’ed it. Did I mention I loved this neighborhood? It was great. We woke up every morning and headed to one of the 10 best patisseries (according to Forbes) where the baker him self handed us out pistachio chocolate escargots. Evenings we would grab a bottle of rose and have a drink along the canal with the locals

The artist Jibé offers us a fresco resembling a cathedral window. A saint and an angel went for a walk, hence the name he gave to his creation "The New Annunciation" or the path to the stars.
