New York State has it all – booming metropolises, majestic waterfalls, mountains, wine country, chicken wings. Yes, NYC is a magnet for tourists, but an exploration of the rest of the state can be equally thrilling. The Finger Lakes Wine Region is a vision of serene waters, quaint B&Bs, and pretty vineyards. Movie buffs will love Rochester, home of the George Eastman House and one of the world’s most comprehensive film archives. On your way to Niagara Falls, stop in Buffalo to fuel up on spicy wings.

This is probably the best mall in all of Upstate New York. We live about two hours away and come up here once or twice a year to do some shopping. The mall is very clean, people always seem friendly and you feel safe here. They seem to have the best selection of stores...and not just main stores but a nice variety of unique stores as well. There are almost no empty store fronts which says something about this mall. It does have some high end stores as well and it is sure fun to walk around them. I would totally recommend this mall to anyone.

We love the Westchester. We have frequented David Yurman, Tiffany's, and the Apple Store most often. The sales people are accommodating and knowledgeable.

Destiny USA is a 2.4 million square foot tourist destination in Syracuse, NY that includes a strong mix of luxury outlet tenants, restaurants and entertainment. New brands are continuing to open to create a unique and dynamic consumer shopping experience. A stunning three-story glass atrium provides perfect weather year round. Oxford Economics has projected an annual visitation rate of over 29 million visitors from throughout the U.S. and Canada. Destiny USA is expected to be the second most visited shopping center in the country, according to Travel and Leisure magazine. It is the largest LEED Gold certified retail commercial building in the world.
This Shopping Mall is so huge you WILL be tired out before you finish shopping. There is something for everyone, shopping , restaurants, entertainment, and three major An hor stores, Macys, JC Penny, and Lord and Taylor. I do suggest the proprietors put more chair, or sofas around for seniors, and a plY Rea for children. A shuttle outside to take people between the Anchor stores would be a great addition. Plus a simple coffee shop. Otherwise this is a supermall.

I came here with my daughter for the first time (we ended up buying each other Christmas presents, lol). It was much better than the Tanger Outlets in Riverhead. It's like a cozy indoor/outdoor village, with the traffic and parking lot away from the "streets" and shoppers. Great stores too!

Palisades Center is among the top ten most visited malls in America and is the premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Rockland County. Located just 18 miles north of NYC, Palisades Center is a four-level mall offering over 200 stores, 15 sit-down restaurants, a bowling alley, ice rink, indoor ropes course, comedy club and more. With its unique and diverse merchant tenant mix, Palisades Center is the go-to place for local shoppers and tourists alike.
On Sunday, my girlfriend and I found ourselves venturing to the largest mall in the area. Umfortunately for us, Sunday is when the irritable wave of Jersey residents come in due to closures in Bergen county. The parking lot was not difficult to park, but not great either. The malls interior seemed well maintained and clean. There seemed to be a lot of people with large families wearing very similar clothing that were just aimlessly walking around and kind of becoming obstructions in the way of actual shoppers. There were many stores of a great variety on all fours floors. We ended our day at coldstone on the 4th floor. The workers took a bit longer than expected, but the ice cream was good. I know Coldstone has a reputation for being expensive, but my ice cream was worth five and change at best, not over seven dollars. Overall, this was a pleasant trip and I'll be returning eventually. Just be aware of tough parking and bizarre looking people on Sunday.
