With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

In a world of cookie-cutter, big-box chain stores and overpriced designer showrooms, Jackalope has its own, distinct personality. In a bazaar meets vibrant world marketplace, Jackalope offers customers an experience that cannot be had at any other retail establishment. With its eclectic array of merchandise, shopping at Jackalope is an experience not to be missed.
I only went to Prairie Dog Glass And did a glass blowing class with my 9 yo grandson and daughter. We did not have time to shop. It was a Tuesday at 11am- 1:00 in Feb. there was nobody else out and about that we saw, but a few people came in Prairie Dog. The glass blowing was AMAZING!!!!!!! Spooner, our instructor was the BEST. We will go back and we will go when he is there. They sell amazing glass. I’ve been to Chihuly in Seattle and at Denver Botanical Gardens and Prairie Dog sells garden glass tall leaf stakes like Chihuly uses. They aren’t cheap but a lady bought 4 while we were there. Also glass ball garden art also amazing hummingbird feeders and one of my favs: chili ristras = great Santa Fe souvenir! And a huge room full of other glass for sale. We picked our glass up the next day after Meow Wolf and ate lunch next door at Dr Fields Good.
