The largest city in China is also its most cosmopolitan, offering visitors a chance to experience the past, present, and future all at once. The Huangpu River splits Shanghai into two districts: Pudong and Puxi. The Pudong skyline looks like it was ripped from the Jetsons, with the bulbous Oriental Pearl TV and Radio Tower looking a bit like a two headed lollipop. On the Puxi side, you can walk the Bund riverside district to get a taste of old Shanghai.

I had a fantastic experience yesterday at Lucy's Glasses shop at the Everbrite International Glasses Mall. I read about Lucy's shop on Tripadvisor and the reviews did not disappoint! Lucy has an amazing range of options, from brand names to simple frames to suit any style and budget. Her team really took the time to look at my references and helped me pick two great options that suited the kind of lens I needed and my face. The eye test was great, and there are different lens qualities and thicknesses to select from - which makes it easy for you to work your new glasses purchase into your budget. English is no problem, service was quick, professional and I am so happy with the quality of my glasses. Cant recommend Lucy and her shop enough! Lucy's store is located on the first Floor - Store 1003.

With biggest Starbucks flagship, Taikoo Hui is worthy walking around to feel the trendy air, various fancy shops and modern designs, not mentioned the traditional architectures and cultural attractions are also around.

When I first went into this mall from the subway, I was very confused. It felt dark, small, many stores seem closed. I was not impressed. However the trick is to either get above the first 3 floors, or better, go to the 6-9 floors of the south tower (subway is in north). There is a ridiculous amount of good food on the super floors. There are hands on crafts and crafting markets. A huge anime model store, multiple ip star anime cafes. Two pet cafes (one of just ragdoll cats, one of any sort of pet), you pay and go in to play with the animals. We did go to the skyring floor, there are many western restaurants up there, but it was raining so we didn't stay. Entrance to the ferris wheel is on the floor below.
