Inspiradas na literatura, na música e na arquitetura suas obras apresentam circunstâncias e ícones do cotidiano, que conduzem o observador a um mundo imaginário. Com uma estrutura estética, lúdica e poética, utiliza conceitos de tempo-espaço e Gestalt para ativar os arquétipos da memória e alcançar equilíbrio pictórico. The artist and architect Sérgio Ramos contemplates on his resume more than 70 exhibitions in a career with more than 28 years and holds partnerships with galleries in Brazil and abroad. Inspired by literature, music and architecture his work presents daily circumstances and icons that lead the viewer to an imaginary world. The aesthetic, playful and poetic structure uses concepts of time-space and Gestalt to activate the archetypes of memory and achieve pictorial balance.

The Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil Belo Horizonte occupies a building from 1930, fully renovated in 2009, with six floors and 12 thousand square meters of constructed area - 8 thousand square meters open to the public and 4 million square feet that will be open in a next phase of reformations - which puts the CCBB BH amongst the greatest cultural centers of Brazil. Theatre with seating capacity of 264 people, a multipurpose room for audiovisual, a library and two cafeterias fill the neoclassical architecture, as well as large exhibition galleries. Visits to the building and the exhibits are free. Tickets for theater performances of dance and music cost R$ 10 (full) and R$ 5 (half). Open Wednesday to Monday from 9am to 21pm.
