Shurniak Art Gallery displays an outstanding collection of original Canadian and International art, showcased in a beautiful setting. Invited visiting artists also are shown on a short-term basis. FreshStart offers great lunches and beverages within the gallery.
A prairie gem. It exceeds expectations. Worth making a detour in your travels. This is a one man's expression of love for art -- especially paintings. This is not the place for etchings, prints or modern abstract art. It has an excellent collection of Canadian paintings. There are some nice Chinese jade pieces. If this was in a big American city I would only give it four stars. Being that it is in a small prairie town means that I had to give it five. Currently open Tuesday to Friday only. Free admission. Photography is not allowed.
