Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

This small cheese shop is extremely popular among local residents.
We visited here the week before Christmas after seeing a video on YouTube. Small little shop but full of every cheese imaginable. They were very helpful we bought Her handmade Fountainblue cheese that was divine... so much so that we had to go back and get more to bring home! Will definitely go back next time in Paris.

This famous taxidermy shop has been in operation since the mid-19th century.
I had heard about this place before our trip on several "Paris hidden gems" online lists so I told my family we were going. They were skeptical to say the least. But after we got home, this is one of the places they had to tell everyone about. It was SO cool. Downstairs is a rather unassuming gardening shop, though my husband almost bought a cool vest. Upstairs is where the magic is - hundreds of taxidermied critters: insects to mammals. It's so neat to be able to see animals so up close, and so hard not to pet them! My daughter now wants her own stuffed fox for home. This is probably not a place for very small children. I don't think I would have been able to keep my kid from touching everything when she was a toddler. But for kids (and adults) with a little self control, you should definitely go.

Welcome Le Bon Marche Rive Gauche, the oldest department store and the only one of the Rive Gauche. A space for living and shopping, Le Bon Marche serves as a creative breeding ground designed along resolutely contemporary lines. Its spaces express the way it interprets trends and define a unique art de vivre.
Think top end department store then add a fantastic food store (with small eating “pop up” stalls for tapas / pintxo / jambon / seafood - couldn’t resist sitting down for a glass of wine and treats) next door amazing wine cave

What's not to love about a place that has hundreds of salts from around the world?! A wine section with trusted advisors, reasonable prices, and incredible options from every region of France? Prepared foods that rival any restaurant ... I was in heaven! If you love good food, this is your home away from home.

Handmade fragrances from this family-owned perfume house dating back to 1760 have attracted kings, statesmen and many celebrities over the years. Its delicate mixes are created through infusion, a technique no longer used in the perfume industry.
Although this store is a bit hard to find, the staff in the store were very helpful although I knew what fragrance I wanted to buy. Purchase was quick without much promotion selling for other products unless asked plus got a load of free samples with my purchases. The staff also gave me good advice based on my needs for my next potential purchase and are very knowledgeable! Will visit again!
