A lovely place I always visit when in the area. Very good coffee and excellent relishes. I like the mix of goods/arts on display which are all local and often "different". I got some very nice cane/wicker stands! Its also good for couples as one can sit out with the coffee while the other browses (and buys) at will!!

The studio and workshop are situated in the idyllic village of Tasman. The studio at the front is the original store for the area, and has had life as general store, a cafe and a pottery shop. Come and see a working loom (sometimes we are just getting ready, so may not be working), have a try on our wee hand loom. See woodwork and weaving in a renovated 103 year old store.

Interactive Wooden Art Gallery, RARE CREATIONS offers Contemporary Furniture and a huge range of related wooden art and technical kit sets from 3 to 99 years old to bring back the lost creativity. It is the only gallery where it is almost compulsory to touch as we have many technical moving toys and sculptures.
Fantastic, awesome wooden wonderland! I wanted to buy everything there. Literally. Gorgeous wooden furniture and wonderful quirky toys and other practical creations. Fabulous designs. An aesthete's dreamland. We came here two days in a row. Absolutely worth the 20 minute drive out of Richmond. Easy to find. Plus the coffee hut on site, Lovina Cup, makes awesome coffee that satisfies. And delicious sticky lemon slice plus other goodies. GO HERE!

Sculpture 705 is an art complex comprising of a Courtyard, Studio Shop, Archway, Sculpture Garden and Workshop. Sculpture 705 also hosts the Loft Gallery and Slice of the Artifact. This years summer exhibition in the Loft Gallery is now open, an installation first shown at the local museum, The Body Snatchers ... A fairy tale? Tells the story of the first recorded Pākehā/Māori burial in the bay and the shenanigans that ensued afterwards. Also exhibiting, We're All In the Same Boat, He Waka Eke Noa. Plus of course, the many new sculptures, paintings, jewellery, and much, much more throughout the site.
We were out cycling and came across this awesome gallery of sculptures in a beautiful garden. The artists Toy and Kas were delightful to converse with and very helpful. They are bringing our large piece up to Auckland when they do deliveries later.

We popped in here as we saw this while in Wakatu Square and what a lovely gallery it was. Great local art in a building with a great feel. Worth a look.
