If your in the area take some time to drop by. Entry is free. Open till pm Monday to Friday and also Saturday morning, however check out the weekend opening hours on their website as times can vary. The art shows rotate so there is always something new to see. There is a small gift shop stocked with a small amount of local items and also a wider collection of art books. There is a cafe on site that serves snacks and meals and is very reasonably priced. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. There is a Japanese Garden and a lovely little pond filled with Carp of all shapes and colours including dazzling golds. They will come toward you if they think you have food. Plenty of birds and small lizards make this garden home and often the local Australian Mynas (birds) will drop by your table looking for a treat. If that isn't enough there is also a sculpture garden.

This exhibition is being held on the beautiful headland at Julian Ashton School Hut 17 Headland Park Middle Head Rd Mosman by the Mosman Art Society associated with the Mosman Art Gallery. It is in the tradition of the Heidelberg’s School of Artists Arthur Streeton, Fred McCubbin and Tom Roberts who painted in this area at Curlew Camp at Sirius Cove in the late 19th century. It has been preserved in its natural state and can be visited via the foreshore. They used discarded cigar box lids in the 9x5 and 9x7 inch size for economy. The exhibition has a lovely variety of works from the local area in various media plus stilllife and portraiture all at very affordable prices because they are in the small size. The headland is also fascinating to explore with a rich military history of strategically placed guns, underground tunnels and barracks with spectacular views to Manly, Vaucluse and Sydney Heads. After visiting the exhibition you can drop in for a sumptuous morning or afternoon tea at the Burnt Orange Cafe nearby or bring your own picnic and enjoy the gorgeous view in the grounds. The exhibition runs every day from 13-28 April 10am-4pm

Macarthur Square, located in South West Sydney in the city of Campbelltown, is one of the largest shopping centres in Sydney and services a huge area including the Illawarra. A bus hub and Macarthur railway station (connected via corso bridge) makes it so easy to get to by public transport. The Square boasts the majority of the big retailers and the variety of stores is brilliant. There are 2 main food courts providing a great selection of cuisines PLUS Kellicar Lane, an outdoor restaurant & entertainment precinct, boasts everything from Bavarian to fast as well as fine dining Japanese to Italian to various Asian offerings. The Square also has coffee shops in abundance. Kellicar Lane also provides a bowling alley/laser tag facility plus Event cinemas. The 3 main supermarket chains are available as are many fresh food and liquor stores. It certainly is my go to shopping precinct.

This market has a wide variety of food so you can get a lot of your weekly shop done here. Loads of organic produce including bread, meat and even pasta plus the usual fruit, veg and eggs. Some great clothing places as well with organic / sustainable items. The best thing is the snacks. Don't miss the corn cakes. Yum.

Chatswood Chase Sydney is a big shopping centre. We don't come here often as it is a little too far from where we live, but we venture this way now and then. One of the best things is that every shop you can dream of is under one roof and there is such a wide variety of everything. In the hot Sydney weather this is paradise. And of course there is plenty of free parking for an extended period.

This shopping centre has everything you need, great shops, fantastic a cinema, restaurants and eateries, and plenty of things to occupy the children. All the good shops for clothing, department stores, shoe shops, homewares, electronics, supermarkets, everything you need really. There is a great play area adjacent to the food court and another area for children to explore in the centre of the complex. There are even regular market days held in the centre. This centre is open air with undercover walkways between shops. Plenty of undercover parking too.
