10 Shopping in Downtown Honolulu That You Shouldn't Miss

March 22, 2022 Almeta Stockton

The mere mention of Hawaii is enough to prompt visions of grass skirts and colorful cocktails with tiny umbrellas. While you will find some kitsch in Honolulu, you’ll also find art museums, bike paths, and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Popular Waikiki Beach has soft sands and great surf. For majestic Oahu views scramble to the top of Diamond Head – a 350-acre volcanic crater. Historic structures like Iolani Palace and Ali'iolani Hale are worth a visit on a non-beach day.

Cindy's Lei Shoppe

Reviewed By johnnnita

I agree whole heartedly with other reviewers about how great this lei shoppe is. Located in Honolulu's Chinatown on Maunakea Street, my close friend from Oahu took me back to this lei shoppe, knowing I wanted a very special lei for my wife. Cindy's is a local institution here and has been operating for many years. When I lived in Waikiki over 20 years ago, I would buy my leis from here. If you're a visitor, you must go her for your special leis, instead of paying equal or certainly much more from other vendors in Waikiki. It's well worth the trip. Besides, you will get to see a part of Honolulu so historical.
