With an active studio life, Fireweed Glass Studio is open from 11-4pm daily, including Sundays and holidays. Nestled in a corner of the Elk Run Industrial Park, we have a small store front gallery and visitors are encouraged to drop in and take a peek at work for sale. There is often an artist blowing glass, so your chances to see them in action are good. Feel free to drop in anytime! Please NOTE: We will be closed April 19th to 22, 2019 for Easter. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday April 23rd, 2019.
This is off the beaten path in the industrial section. There are lots of lovely items for sale and the prices are reasonable for blown glass. You can sit and watch glass being blown. They make it look so easy.

I love this cafe! Amazing books and merchandise to paruse. It has the feel of an old English book shop. So comfortable and cozy!

I wandered into Sugar Pine expecting to find some lovely fabrics. But I was amazed at the size of the store, and the extensive selection of fabrics, all beautifully arranged, with lots of precuts, too. Many gorgeous quilts are also displayed, with patterns or kits available for most. Any other Covid-quilting-newbies like me? You need to know about this place! It’s worth a trip to Canmore.

All in the Wild Photography provides beautiful and artistic photographs of wildlife from Western Canada, Canada's Arctic and Alaska. The photographer and owner is Jason Leo Bantle. Jason has been photographing wildlife for over 10 years and has a deep passion and respect for nature. Most of Jason's works are still captured on 35mm film. No digital enhancements or filter are used.
You have to go to this gallery if you are in The wildlife photographs by Jason Bumtle are absolutely incredible, as he is an award winning wildlife photographer. If it’s not too busy, get the salesperson to tell you the stories behind each one. There is a whole series of polar bear photos that are amazing. Each one is unique and so wonderful to see! We spent over an hour in the gallery and loved every minute. The photos are sold in a variety of sizes and the smaller ones are very affordable. The bigger ones, which are really the best, cost a lot more, $500 and up. But even if you don’t buy, you need to see these photographs!

The Carter-Ryan Gallery is home to the work of Indigenous Visual Artist, Jason Carter. His bright paintings and bold soapstone sculpture have been featured at Canmore's Main Street location since 2012. Last year, a second location opened in Banff. Visit either location to experience one of Alberta's most acclaimed visual artists. Gallery by day and at night, the Carter-Ryan Gallery in Canmore comes alive with live musical theatre all summer long. Comedy, musical theatre and history coming to life...it's all here surrounded by original art. A truly memorable destination.
I recently saw Canada the Musical with some friends. The gallery hosts an intimate theatre surrounded by the colourful and beautiful artwork of Jason Carter. Canada The Musical is super fun, engaging, and brings back many great memories. I would highly recommend going, and I look forward to attending more performances.
