Are you fascinated by the light in Vendsyssel? Then visit Galleri Løkken. In one of the oldest houses John Kristensen has established a studio and exhibition. His oil paintings center on the atmosphere and light of the north, and that is why most of the painting is done outside - on location. In the gallery you will also see a series of paintings from 1982 to 2012 from the nearby Rubjerg Knude Fyr. Free entry - open all year.

Okay, sweets are not good for you - but if you have to have sweets, this ist he place to go. An award-winning company, and deservedly so. Great choice, great variety, all locally made.ä - and sometimes you can even watch them doing so. The highlight for kids is the possibility to make their own MASSIVE lolly; this is only offered on certain dates, so check before - but very highly recommended! Kids loved it, and we now have to do it every time we visit...

The beautiful and unique 1200-sqaremeter building that houses the Art Center is located on the outskirts of Jyske Aas, a local area of national beauty. It was founded by electrical contractor Birger Jensen in 1977 in cooperation with architects from Junker and Flygel. This was a realization of a life-long dream of creating a modern center for art and culture. In 1985 the organization Tvind bought the building, but made little use of it. In 2001 members of the local community succeeded in raising four million kroner to buy back the place and run it as an art center, thus reviving Birger Jensen’s intention to hold at least five quality exhibitions a year. These exhibitions are very diverse, including all kinds of art and craft such as painting, sculpture, ceramics and glassware. It also hosts cultural activities such as the annual Marathon Singing on the year’s longest day.
Danish gallery with a wide selection of art from established artists but also from upcoming artists. You can e.g. see Poul Anker Bech's works of art here.
