Bristol is a quirky British city with beautiful hilly vistas and plenty of historic sights to explore. Anyone interested in ships will have a blast aboard Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the world’s first great oceanliner, and the Matthew, a replica of the ship upon which John Cabot sailed to America in the 15th century. The graceful Clifton Suspension Bridge is another must-see.

We are huddled away in Clifton. We'd like to think that we have an eclectic shop that sells all things Mexican, ranging from authentic Mexican food, including Gluten-free corn tortillas to jewellery, hammocks to cards and glassware. Actually, our whole food section is pretty much a gluten-free heaven and shipments come in from Mexico on a regular basis, so stock is varied and changeable, but in an interesting way, rather than leaving you bewildered. Hopefully it's a perfect place to come if you want to buy something slightly different and interesting as a gift for a friend or loved one, putting a new and exciting spin on all the identi-gift shops you can find in the area. Ah, and have a go at your Spanish while you're visiting us!

The most prestigious glass shop in the heart of the historic centre of Bristol, a step away from St. Nicholas Market. Here you can see the entire range of glass made by Bristol Blue Glass Bedminster, the workshops being on the site of the Bedminster Glassworks, founded in 1716. The same exquisite traditional craftsmanship can be admired in all our glass. In addition to our own products, we also sell a small selected range of interesting antique and vintage glass for the discerning collector. We look forward to welcoming you to one of the most fascinating shops in Bristol.

Averys has had a shop in Bristol since 1793. Today, you’ll find us at 9 Culver Street, a stone’s throw from our original premises on Park Street. Come and explore our range of more than 1000 wines and step back in time as you visit the historic vaulted cellars which once housed our bottling line and blending tanks.
Recently went to a screening of ‘Carry on screaming’ in Averys wine cellars. It was part of the Bristol Film Festival and an absolutely fabulous night. The evening included a great selection of wines to taste and variety bread and cheese to try.

We offer wine and gin tastings for your group in our beautiful wine cellar in the heart of Clifton Village, near the historic Clifton suspension bridge. Learn about wine in an informal, fun way and leave with a different perspective about wine and how to taste.
I cannot recommend Alan and his wonderful cellar of wine enough. We had a fabulous evening tasting beautiful wines with an incredibly knowledgeable host (Alan) who made the evening fun, humorous and interesting. We certainly will look and taste wine in a different and better way!! Thank you Alan, you were a great host from start to beginning and we will definitely be back!

A must in Bristol for any Gin lover, not only do you learn about the history of Gin and how it’s made, but you get to distil your own personal gin, whilst trying some of Psychopomps Gins. Steph is so knowledgeable and interesting she takes you through the whole process in all it takes about 2.5 hours. At the end of the session you get to try your own gin and take a bottle home with you. As an added bonus you can buy bottles of their gins to take home as well. Highly recommended, I would go again any time.
