The museums of Lisbon celebrate the rich history and culture of this Portuguese capital city. The Maritime Museum is perfect for kids (and grown-ups!) who adore all things nautical, while the Casa-Museu Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves is a hidden gem of colorful artwork. To fully appreciate the city’s dramatic stone architecture you can take a guided walking tour, or customize your own tour, making sure to visit the Padrao dos Descobrimentos, the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, and the UNESCO World Heritage site the Torre de Belem.

Our independent family-run wine shop specialises in finding the best wines Portugal has to offer. From the famed Port wines in the north to the new generation of young producers in the islands of Azores, we have a wine for every palate and budget. And we want to share our passion for Portuguese wine and our traditions with you. Literally translated, the word ‘mercearia’ means ‘grocery store’ - which is exactly how we started out over 60 years ago, when our grandma opened the shop’s doors for the first time. As well as supplying neighbours with groceries, she was known for providing great conversation, with customers often staying for hours to catch up on the latest news and gossip. Today, our produce may have changed, but the relaxed, traditional atmosphere has stayed the same (which is why we kept the name). We’re proud to have stayed true to our roots. So if you want a good chat over a glass of wine like old times, just ask for the owner, Artur.
I went to ask some advices on the wines as I have been requested by some friends to have them delivered in our country. Artur before making me buying them checked with CTT if a delivery was possible. When checked and confirmed positively for the delivery, Artur helped me with the different type of wines the Portugal produce and their main features and characteristics. In the end I bought some bottles of wines for my friends thanks to his help and knowledge. The selection of bottles can cover basically all the price points of the people interested in tasting Portuguese wines. Definitely a nice spot where to enter also only for browsing the catalog of products. Strongly recommended and advised.

A Fábrica dos Chapéus is a Portuguese manufacturer company of caps and hats, born from the passion of its founders. Since 2008, Lisbon, we ship worldwide.
I found this hat store online before coming to Lisbon, and it definitely met and exceeded my expectations! All the hats are locally made and come in tons of styles and colours. The staff were amongst some of the most friendly and helpful I have met in Lisbon. They also followed the Covid-19 safety guidelines and made sure that I felt protected while trying on hats in their store. It is also conveniently located on Rua da Rosa which is a small street connecting the Bairro Alto and Chiado areas. If you want to purchase a hat in Portugal, then you cannot miss this spot.
