I was looking for a pair of sheepskin slippers as my feet are always cold but also ended up purchasing a double Shetland sheepskin rug. The choices was superb. There were a lot of different types of sheepskin but the staff were very friendly and on-hand to help with the queries from showing us the different types of rugs available at different price ranges to explaining how to maintain the rug to ensure years of enjoyment out of it. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

we were recently in Ambleside and came across this lovely little shop. We were buying some gifts and the lady took some real time out to explain the different Gins & Rums for us and the choice of bottles and pricing. When we paid the lady who also served us was very helpful, in fact I ended up buying some for myself to! The model is great, close your bottles and style, choose your drink and then have it personalised and the bottles can be refilled to. Great service, great product, great idea, great shop!

Come and try our exciting 3 children's experience's at our wonderful RockShop attraction in Ambleside, including our very own Dinosaur Den themed treasure hunt, jump in to our unique Gem Pit and get creative in our Pippin Bead Bar. All our experiences are designed around the world of Dinosaurs, gemstones and fossils and are suitable for all ages and abilities from 4yrs upwards to join in with the fun
We booked for our children age 4&6 to do the three activities here on a wet day of our holiday and they loved it! The dinosaur experience, bracelet making and gem pit (which has had to change because of COVID regulations) were great and took up a really fun hour or so. Helpful and friendly staff, good value for money and all clearly labelled and laid out. Definitely recommend a visit here!

Quality paintings in a fantastic location. A warm and friendly welcome awaits you in Hawkshead.
We visited the gallery whilst staying near Hawkshead. The lady running the gallery was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable, she took time to show us around and talk about the different artists whose work is displayed and was happy to answer any questions. We ended up purchasing a painting of a Stag by Rob Hefferan and then a landscape by John Russell from the Coniston shop. We are very happy with our purchases and were very grateful to Maggie for her help during our visit.
