With an active studio life, Fireweed Glass Studio is open from 11-4pm daily, including Sundays and holidays. Nestled in a corner of the Elk Run Industrial Park, we have a small store front gallery and visitors are encouraged to drop in and take a peek at work for sale. There is often an artist blowing glass, so your chances to see them in action are good. Feel free to drop in anytime! Please NOTE: We will be closed April 19th to 22, 2019 for Easter. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday April 23rd, 2019.
This is off the beaten path in the industrial section. There are lots of lovely items for sale and the prices are reasonable for blown glass. You can sit and watch glass being blown. They make it look so easy.

It's always nice paying this gallery a visit. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and they have such a gorgeous selection of local and international art. I was just browsing, but that's okay.

Grant Berg Gallery is the region's premier commercial art gallery. The gallery represents roughly 40 artists. Painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry and photography. All artwork is original. The galleries artists are 50% local and 50% brought in from across Canada. We represent seven indigenous artists including the owner Grant Berg. Custom framing is also offered using only quality wood frames
A visit to the Grant Berg Gallery is always lovely. The space is welcoming and restful while still filled with the work of unbelievably talented Canadian artists. Grant and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and delighted to discuss both the art and the artists (of which Grant is one) represented in the gallery. I bring guests to Grant’s gallery as a must-see experience in Grande Prairie.

The Carter-Ryan Gallery is home to the work of Indigenous Visual Artist, Jason Carter. His bright paintings and bold soapstone sculpture have been featured at Canmore's Main Street location since 2012. Last year, a second location opened in Banff. Visit either location to experience one of Alberta's most acclaimed visual artists. Gallery by day and at night, the Carter-Ryan Gallery in Canmore comes alive with live musical theatre all summer long. Comedy, musical theatre and history coming to life...it's all here surrounded by original art. A truly memorable destination.
I recently saw Canada the Musical with some friends. The gallery hosts an intimate theatre surrounded by the colourful and beautiful artwork of Jason Carter. Canada The Musical is super fun, engaging, and brings back many great memories. I would highly recommend going, and I look forward to attending more performances.

Edmonton's biggest indoor year round farmers' market. Fresh from the farm to your family! We make it, we bake it, we grow it, we sell it!Over 130 vendors selling only the freshest local food and handmade arts and crafts. Every Saturday year round from 8 am - 3 pm.
We spent about an hour and a half here, and we almost had enough samples to call it lunch. From pasta to caramels to whiskey to tzatziki (best tzatziki ever), it seemed like over half the places were handing out their nibbles for everyone to try. We also enjoyed shopping for some reasonably priced jewelry and some fresh produce. The place was bustling, but everyone is so nice that it's pretty easy to maneuver with a little patience.

The Muttart Conservatory is unique at first sight. This innovative botanical garden sets the pace for plant science in western Canada and defines Edmonton’s skyline with striking glass pyramids rising from the river valley.
We visited the Muttart Conservatory in April 2015 with children ages 8, 5 and 5, along with Grandparents. It was absolutely beautiful and I recommend visiting if you get a chance, especially in the winter when it feels warm and tropical during an otherwise cold day outside. During our visit, the Corpse Flower had just started to bloom (it only blooms about every 2 years). It was only the second time it had ever bloomed at Muttart so we felt fortunate to see it. Once it opens fully it only lasts a few days, so the timing was great. It stunk like a dead corpse, which added to excitement of the visit, especially for the kids, and my mom who is a flower enthusiast. Overall, a great visit. It's a beautiful venue with an amazing collection of plants and flowers.
