The peace & tranquility of this religious place is beyond imagination, The Hills , the fresh water lake, the woods, the narrow lanes, the sounds of birds & animals, fresh thin air which is suppose to have healing properties all around makes this place a true paradise on earth. No TV & No news Paper makes this place even more serene, because you are forced to know yourself & the people around you which otherwise would not have been possible. The boating, Rock climbing & fishing the local fish - Mahseer are the activities for the young. People managing this Ashram are very friendly & helpful.

The trek up to the mountain top to the temple dedicated to Nag Devta is fairly arduous with steep, narrow winding walking trails covered with dry leaves and grass which makes it slippery adding to the challenge of the climb. It takes a little time for beginner trekkers to get the rhythm and tempo to remain steady and keep the balance. It requires one pointed attention to the trail and chanting the chosen deity's name or anything else to remain consistent. However once the flow is set it is a delight to walk through the forest. The senses are tantalized by breathtaking views, music of the birds, the aroma of trees , leaves, earth, the feel of the tree trunks, the soothing cool water from the roots of trees. It is what the Japanese call 'forest bathing'. It is cleansing at all levels leaving one calmer and happier. Once atop the hill at the Nag Devta temple it is peaceful, serene and cool, a blessing from the deity there. The view is mesmerizing and the simple hill folk are utterly charming, friendly and warm. If fond of trekking, it is trek worth doing. It takes approximately two and a half hours to three hours for beginner trekkers.

Ancient temple which legend has was promulgated by the Pandavas. Over a 100 steps (LONG) so it's a climb which requires some fitness and faith. However, the temple has a lot of positive energy and the view is worth it all.
