Hotel Nakaya

Terrible hotel, 10% service charge added to the room when check out

Reviewed By graceyung5128

Me and my husband stayed on Mar 30 with confirmation from hotel 41000yen including dinner and breakfast. When we check out on Mar 31, the hotel added a 10% service charge to the bill, we ended up paying 45400yen. It's a total ripped off, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kamogawa in the future.

Short visit

My family liked it very much. We liked the buffet, dinner and breakfast. Nice view and very good staff. Nice having tatami floors and sleeping on futons. The onsen was a bit old but water was hot and soothing. The hotel was easy to find and had a short walk to the lighthouse and the fishing village stores.

Onsen Resort

We had a great time at this Resort and would recommend it. Once you work out what the procedures are like putting your shoes in the lockers as soon as you enter and the wait to check in, the staff have limited english so it was a little tricky to get information but the whole experience was really great. The hot springs and baths are very good if a little confusing about the expectations (naked or bathers).

Lot's of fun for kids

Reviewed By SandBTokyo

This was a great place for a summer stop. Mikazuki does it right for families. The hotel is great for kids and has an amazing beach with lots of activities. There is also an indoor swimming spa, outdoor on rooftop and indoor on 6th floor. The changing room is on the 7th, so you don't need to even stay at the hotel. There is a bath/shower room as well. The hotel is great, big and relaxing. Full of families. Great access to beach. No problem with everyone coming and going. No strict rules. One problem, room had sent of old smoke. Not bad, but it was there. The hotel has a nice bath on the top floor. Dinner and breakfast were buffet. Very nice. Seems like everyone is happy, so great job Mikazuki. I highly recommend Mikazuki while the kids are small.

Small hotel, beautiful sun rise at 99 beach

Reviewed By martysoo

My wife and i've stayed 2 nights there where is the kick-off of our christmas trip in Japan. This is not the hotel we originally reserved. Perharps it was in winter time and too few people chose to stay near the freezing seaside, the one we booked was closed temporarily, so we're transferred to this their sister hotel.  Hotel area and room are quite small, it's rarely to see a guest room in countryside with this 20 sqm size, but if in Tokyo this size is not too bad.  The private open-air baths seems are the most entertaining area in the hotel. It situated at the top floor and roomed into 3 private but open-air areas. We have been bath in 2 of those and the one named Angel ladder is the best and you can see the twinkle stars all over the sky at night. I think that's how the name come from. Dinner and breakfast were included in room rate. The dinner set served in over 10 items from susie, Japanese sake, king crab legs to desserts. It makes you a full stomach before bath and sleep. Guest room is ok but frankly not much worth mentioning. Our room is in 6th floor and designed in Japanese style. The odor and stain tell it shouldn't younger than Clint Eastwood..... On the East side of hotel, you can see sun rise in the morning. Beach is also a walking distance from hotel. It's a perfect experience to go for a walk after breakfast. In all, it's not a perfect hotel but is ok to stop by a night during the trip around Chiba.
