Once known for smog, traffic and tacky architecture, Athens is a city reformed thanks to fortunes brought by the 2004 Summer Olympics. Spotless parks and streets, an ultra-modern subway, new freeways, an accessible airport and all signs in perfect English make the city easily negotiable. Meriting more than a stopover en route to the islands, sophisticated Athens sites include many pillars of Western history, from the Acropolis to the Temple of Olympian Zeus, as well as treasures in the National Archaeological Museum.

Sir Lock's House is a new and fun live escape game, designed for small groups of 3-6 people. The rules are simple: You have 60 minutes to solve a maze of puzzles and mysteries in a room, filled with hidden keys, various objects, riddles and challenging games. As a team you play against the clock in one of our rooms trying to find a way to escape. The goal is simple yet challenging!

The theme and the story in Lockhill are extremely important, and the game itself is constructed around it, instead of just being pasted like other escape games. We have given extra care to the general atmosphere, lighting, music, decoration and storytelling as they are of utter importance in order for you to immerse yourself in the experience. We have really tried to make the experience as similar as possible to a very atmospheric adventure game. Story wise, Lockhill resembles a small village where the full story reveals itself slowly over the course of your visits as you explore different locations (rooms) and you find different clues that will ultimately piece together the overall plot. You'll have to escape from some rooms, or find out how to enter others! The whole experience and each individual room are of our own creation.
We did two rooms in LockHill escape room ; the Lockwood Mansion and the Voodoo shop. What is very nice is to be inside the scenario as soon as you enter the lockHill village. Each room is a part of the whole story. The game master was very nice and funny, playing well its role. The puzzles in the two rooms were nice and well inserted in the story. Extra puzzles are available to complete the story also. The Voodoo shop is the less scary room which is nice for people who does not like to scary. The Mansion is a little bit more scary. Not to much difficulty for the searching part in both rooms. I recommend this escape game if you are in athens and if you like immersion.

Great Escape is the biggest real life escape room game in Athens. Located at the heart of the city, Great Escape Rooms expand ones imagination while exercising perceptual skills, and promotes collaboration processes. The team is consisted of 2 to 8 members, which are getting "locked" in a theme room. Their goal is to complete their mission within the given timeframe, by overcoming obstacles and solving puzzles, activating not only the mind, but all five senses as well.
My boyfriend and I were quite inexperienced with escape rooms, having done only one or two before. Based on the difficulty levels, we chose the Circus room. The clues were not too easy, and it required some skill as well. When we became stuck, the talented game master gave helpful clues to move us along in the right pace. It was such a great experience that we decided to return the following day, to play the Guantanamo room! We liked this room even more, with even more varied tasks, and with higher difficulty. We barely made it out! As opposed to some other escape rooms elsewhere, these rooms were set up really nicely and it made the situations we were put in feel more real. This escape rooms here are great fun for the price. Would definitely recommend going here, even if you are only two people!

I've been to sooo many escape rooms all over Europe but this was by far the best one! We played the The Emperor’s Master Chef is Dead. The game was new so we took a risk by choosing this over so many escape rooms in Athens, and it paid off big time. The game is very entertaining and interactive, much different from any other escape room experience I have tried out. The Chienese ambience is beautiful and the concept of the game where you have to actually produce the emperor's favourite meal surprised us! it was so much fun! No worries - it does not require any cooking skills, but you do have to serve the emperor. The riddles were extremely creative, not too many numbers and padlocks, and even when these do appear they are much more complex and interactive than the usual escape room riddles. Plus they require all your senses to be used! Even for experienced escape room players, this room will be interesting, challenging and above all, entertaining. The guys were extremely nice and polite, the hints were perfectly estimated to be helpful but not too revealing (because in the end you do want to solve the riddles yourself). The location of the escape room is also an advantage, in the very center of Athens. We played in two (even though three is the required minimum, but if you are a good team you won't necessarily need the third one), we managed to escape in time. Little *spoiler* - even if you don't, there's a surprise challenge that could still get you out! In the end, we kind of wished that we weren't able to do it right so that we could just get one more fun challenge.

This game is a MUST for escapists. As a part of our "Athens Escape Tour", we played here in the "Follow the White Rabbit" adventure, being this the 3rd out of 11 games we played. We had a short and very friendly introduction of the game by the crew working there, as they knew we have some Escape experience. The first impression after entering the room was very cool, but it was just the beginning. The more we advanced in the game, the better the design and aspect of the game had. The riddles were fairly challenging. My 2 mates were kinda amateurs yet, but yet they could do a lot in the game. The decoration just blown my mind, and I'm not an amateur in this. I've been working for a good bunch of years in set decoration and in the art departments for filming, and I can tell that this was the top decoration of what I've seen until now, inside an Escape Game. This is why it's not a surprise to see how high the rates are for MasterMind in Trip: they deserve 5 and even more stars. Spoiler alert: It was a total surprise to meet "The Mad Hatter" inside the game, as we weren't expecting a performance inside. The performance of the professional was just that: professional. And very "maddy". We loved it. It made a 6 stars experience what it could have been "just a nice & super beautiful game". The Door-room was AMAZING. The Tea-room was AMAZING. The Clock-room was AMAZING. Even the start of the game was amazing :D Amazing x 10 room guys. Great job there. We'll be back, I can tell.
