The Royal Sands Koh Rong is located on 550 meters of fine, white sandy beach near Sok San Village. Strategically located on the western side of the island, where the sunsets are the legendary. The 67 all villas resort. The resort incorporates the highest quality materials including teak, bamboo and natural stone, with many open-air venues from which to enjoy 180-degree views of the Gulf of Thailand and the legendary sunsets. It is “Beyond the ordinary to laid back luxury”.
This is an amazing property that is well run and with excellent, accommodating service. Almost every room (villa) has an ocean view. The drinks and food were very good. In particular we appreciated the fact that the breakfast buffet changed every day. Lots of activities if that's your thing although just now is the start of the rainy season which can limit things a bit. The staff was super helpful in arranging our COVID testing locally. The spa was fabulous especially the glass bottom where you would watch fish swimming! We just returned from a week in Cambodia. Tourism is down so go now and enjoy yourself and less crowds. Finish your stay here in paradise.

Our resort can be found on the island of Koh Rong, a tropical getaway off the coast of Cambodia with white sandy beaches, turquoise waters and verdant forest. The island boasts a fabulous environment, from lush jungle to exotic savanna, fringed by a stunning shoreline, brimming with reefs and a multitude of unexplored islands, each with their own pristine beaches. Tucked away from the major tourist spots, the resort can be reached from the mainland in Sihanouk Ville in less than an hour, making it a secluded yet convenient seaside retreat. Sok San Beach Resort is a Khmer-style beach resort offering a tasteful blend of nature and comfort.
The beaches in Koh Rong are incredible and this is possibly the best. If you want a quiet oasis, are happy to stay on the beach paying inflated prices for adequate food this place may be for you. The nearby village was shut during our stay - across the island businesses have closed due to the pandemic and while the world is now opening up businesses have yet to return. This does mean that your options are limited and this hotel has a very limited food and drink menu and very inflated prices to go with them. Breakfast though is surprisingly good and we were quite happy with the selection and the quality. We had opted to take the hotel's speedboat from Sihanoukville at $40 return each and regretted it. We found that the public speedboat is far more comfortable, quicker, and costs only $14 each way. You do have to take a taxi from the public speedboat dock on the island but this is still better than the beat up boat they put us in. Activities are also overpriced - snorkelling will set you back $40 per person for a couple of hours whereas a half day boat trip from the main town will only set you back $15 and includes food and drink. Finally though, the room. They look great, look clean, have wonderful hot showers and air con. However we found our beds laced with bugs and were eaten alive. After three days our bodies were covered in hundreds of bites, so we cut our trip short and left early. We heard that cleanliness is an issue on the island and this resort is no exception.

Anaya Koh Rong is a perfect place to unwind and relax in a peaceful atmosphere. We offer 20 rooms in an exclusive living space surrounding by coconut trees and jungle that allow our guest to enjoy a cozy experience and more relaxing vacation. Located at Pagoda Beach, our resort is a place that brings calm and joy to our guests. With its private pier to our beach, you can reach our hotel easily.
The genuine lodging is shocking and is fundamentally more wonderful then the photos. Firmly recommend the home made pizzas at the restraunt. Superb sea side and super convinient with the prompt boat from Sihanoukville. Can't endorse Anaya enough and because of Josephine who made our visit so normal and serene!

Guests can enjoy a range of Asian and Western dishes as well as handcrafted cocktails at Koh Rong Hill Beach Restaurant & Bar. A selection of activities are offered in the area, such as island hopping, snorkelling and diving. The property offers motorbike and bicycle hire. Guests can also visit nearby villages and waterfall.
This was such a scam. We wanted to take one night of luxury on the island so we followed the pictures and chose this one. We were super excited and could not wait to get there and jump in the pool with a drink from the bar. This would definitely never be the case:( when we got there it seems like it has been shut down for many many years. Apocalypse. The bar was close, The pool needed a lot of fixing on the tiles, The room was smelly.. To put all this in one word: The biggest disappointment we have ever gotten:( Now the issue is getting our money back from Agoda, which seems like can be a bit of a problem that’s even more disappointing. I would never choose to this hotel even if it was the last one in the world. I’d rather sleep in a tent

The best of both worlds, jungle and ocean sounds, quiet, relaxing, clean along with beach bar, good food and music and many activities like pool bar, darts, small boat tours, swimming, snorkeling, hiking, volleyball. Modern bungalows all on the beach with awesome views, a truly relaxing and fun filled experience.
We knew that this would be basic however we were prepared for that, but when we arrived after a 2 1/2 hour uncomfortable ferry ride (which we luckily managed to embark on, despite the fact that there were no members of staff anywhere to be seen in the dilapidated ferry shack / office) we were told that the kitchen was closed due to a wedding taking place on the beach that night. If we had been informed of this when we booked we could have planned to arrive the following day, as our bungalow was 50 metres behind the stage and the very loud music carried on until 1.30am! This meant we were extremely tired the next day so really did not enjoy our stay. The staff were nice but often didn’t know the answers when we asked questions, such as what alternatives there were to get off the island without using the Palm Beach ferry. The ferry was very inflexible, only leaving at 8 15 am (so we were told), so we decided to take a moto taxi to Koh Toch (where there were fast ferries available). That was an experience in itself and not for the faint hearted! However whilst we were having breakfast, we saw that the ferry was still moored up at 9 00am! We would have been really fed up if we had rushed to be on it for 8 15... Also whilst the staff were nice, no one apologised for the fact that the wedding had gone on so late... They were playing I’m a Barbie girl exceptionally loud at 1am with people screeching along... it was a nightmare! The staff must have realised it would have disturbed people’s sleep...they obviously thought the best policy was to ignore the elephant in the room rather than address it... The beach was gorgeous but that is the only nice thing we can say about this resort and won’t be going back.

We visited for 5 nights, very disappointed apart from the reception staff who were helpful. When we arrived there were no towels in the bungalow, so we had to ask for them. The outside hose to clean your feet was not working. The lock on the sliding door to the bungalow was faulty anyone could have broken into the bungalow by just pushing it. There was no cleaning service offered in the 5 nights we were there. The beds were very hard. Although there was 3 showers in the bathroom on the last afternoon/night we had brown water coming out from the taps so we could not shower then there was no water at all . We did ask about this and was told it would be on soon. Disappointed that this did not happen. The positive side to our trip was the nice Japanese restaurant opposite that serves the breakfast and Mr Kazu was very friendly and helpful.

Song Saa Private Island is a haven of sustainable luxury nestled in the undiscovered beauty of Cambodia’s Koh Rong Archipelago. With unique, world-class cuisine, stunning sunset views of the Gulf of Thailand, and an array of spa and wellness treatments, Song Saa offers the ultimate indulgence for mind, body and soul. Best of all, our commitment to environmental and community programs means you’ll be treading lightly on this special piece of paradise.
We were fortunate enough to visit Song Saa earlier this month, staying for 5 nights on an All-Inclusive basis. It is true to say that all of our expectations were met, if not exceeded, and we return to the UK knowing how lucky we are to have had the opportunity to experience all that makes Song Saa so special. We have ticked a huge ‘wish list’ box by visiting this magical island. Firstly our room, we deliberately chose an Ocean View villa and were glad we did so. Large and tastefully decorated, the room catered for all of our needs. The room was comfortable, well lit, very private and let’s not forget a generous minibar that was regularly restocked (contents included: tea, coffee, still/sparkling water, a range of sodas, beer, a bottle of red and white wine, a bottle of prosecco and a dangerously moreish box of cookies and also peanuts/cashew nuts. Actually, let’s face it, it was all dangerous!) On our all-inclusive rate, we were very pleased with the food and beverage choice. The menus at all restaurants make it very clear what is included and what is not. We were very happy with, what we felt, was a very generous all-inc drinks selection: 5 white wines, 5 red, 1 rose, prosecco and a rose prosecco. Plenty of spirit options and cocktails too. When the worst news you hear is that a specific wine is out of stock, you know it has been a pretty good day! Food is available - should you want it – around the clock with breakfast at Vista served until 11.30am (island time – an hour ahead of the mainland) which means that there is plenty of time for an early morning swim or snorkel. More great food awaits at Driftwood, we feel we made a pretty good effort with their pizza menu and would highly recommend. Evening destination dining is very much a signature of Song Saa with dining areas carouselling around different locations: Vista restaurant, Driftwood, the pool and the beach. However, you are not committed to these and can choose to dine where you wish (there’s also the choice of eating ‘in villa’ too). Beyond eating and drinking you MIGHT also find the time to do something! We absolutely loved the pool which we seemed to have to ourselves most of the time. Photos don’t do this justice as the pool is longer than you may think – just shy of 30m I would say. Morning swims are a delight as you can watch the sun rise while you get in your laps (and consider what you will have for breakfast!). The water sports team are permanently on hand and the free equipment that is loaned out (including snorkels and fins) is of high quality, you certainly don’t need to take your own. Being on this island puts you in a bubble of luxury so we really would recommend visiting the Song Saa Foundation which will help you understand and appreciate all the important work being carried out in the area. We spent 2 hours with the Song Saa Foudation team, visiting the local community and learning more about the support being put in place. Finally, at the heart of Song Saa and all it does are the staff. It would be very unfair to name check specific team members as every individual goes out of their way to make your stay memorable. Yes, of course, somethings do get lost in translation but, as always, a smile goes a long way and - just sometimes – a little patience. It was a pleasure to meet the whole team who truly made our stay unforgettable. We are true to our word and have promised wonderful manager Tommy that we are happy to return (and we won’t charge) if he needs us to offer any further customer feedback. Tommy we’re still waiting for the call….. ;-) Our best wishes to you all, Celia and David

Romdoul Beach Resort on Koh Rong is a beautiful place to get away from the stress of life and enjoy some holiday time. It is set on a private beach on the island of Koh Rong, near Sihanoukville. As one of our guests, you will be picked up by shuttle boat at the dock in Koh Touch village, and transported in a matter of a few minutes to your slice of paradise. The resort is set on it's own private beach, far away from the backpackers bars and party scene at Koh Touch village. Escape to a beautiful, laid back paradise positioned between the tropical sea and the lush jungle interior of Koh Rong. Right after walking outside your front door, you can swim and sunbathe on an undisturbed beach which offers lots of different water activities, go for a walk or a longer trek into the jungle (visit the small waterfall and lake nearby), or have drinks and meals in the open air restaurant The resort is named Romdoul after the national flower of Cambodia, which can be seen growing on the Romdoul tree on the island and in many places in Cambodia in the spring time.
We stayed four nights in one of the tents which are great. The facillities are ok. And that's about it. The day before you leave you need to tell the receptionist, so they call the boat company to reserve you a seat. We asked the receptionist for calling the company and she said yes, however, returning to what ever she was doing. After a minute I asked her if she will really call them or if we should do it ourselves, what wouldn't have been a problem at all! (I told her this aswell) I also stressed out that we booked a bus in Sihanoukville next day and really need to get this. She responded that she will do it. Later that same day we met someone that told us he also asked the receptionist earlier to call the same boat company. Three times in total then. When we arrived next day at the main pier and walked to the boat company that was supposed to bring us back to the mainland, the company told us they are full (last seats reserved in the early morning) and there wouldn't have been a call from Romdul Beach a.k.a. Nature Beach Resort. Even so we already bought the return ticket when we headed for koh rong we had to buy another ticket (12$ per person) with a different boat company. I wrote an email to the resort explaining the problem and that I expect them to take the costs and pay me back. After weeks I am writing this feedback now. More over, the food was overprized and the staff at the bar was unfriendly. They started with super noisy music in the morning and brought it up several times during the day. However, not to entertain the guests but to entertain themselves. Can't recommend it at all.

Koh Rong Island welcomes you to a tropical paradise of white sandy beaches, turquoise toned bays and lush undiscovered jungle interior. Long Set Resort is the premier resort located on the stunning 4K beach offering sheltered beachfront accommodation situated on the stunning island of Koh Rong. Located 30km off the Cambodian mainland, Koh Rong is the second largest Cambodian Island but it remains unspoilt and largely undiscovered. The islands villages are still mostly populated by locals and fishermen and most island travel is by boat or foot. The beaches are often quiet and deserted. Long Set Resort is a spacious 3o room beachfront resort offering comfortable, quiet, clean air conditioned accommodation with pool views, tropical garden views and sea views to the neighboring island of Koh Rong Somloem. Resort facilities include stunning private sandy beach, infinity pool, free Wi-Fi, fully equipped gym, massage and well-being services and beachfront Bar & Restaurant. The resort is
We had an average time at Long Set Resort. Some of the resort was lovely, and the location was good because it was on the beach, but there are definitely some areas that could be improved. Pros: - The management we’re friendly, helpful, and they spoke good English - The hotel is next to the ferry port and the porter took out bags all the way to our room - The beach was quiet and there were a couple of activities available via the hotel (for an additional cost) Cons: - The restaurant staff did not speak good English so it was difficult to order - The service was incredibly slow and the food was hit and miss. At one point we waited 45 minutes just for our drinks, and when our food arrived eventually, it was cold. We did order some Morning Glory the next day which had a lovely flavour. - The Wi-Fi was not good in our room. In communal areas it was fine, but in our room it dropped off quite frequently - The rooms were not very clean (see curtain in attached photo) Overall the resort is decent but it could definitely be improved. We would probably not return again unfortunately.

Paradise Bungalows, set in the hills of a pristine and quiet island, is western managed with continuous dedication to the perfect holiday getaway. We have a nature-oriented resort of 20 Bungalows amid the lush vegetation of Koh Rong. Local and natural materials are the central features of our venue, making a natural island Paradise.
My friends and I had a booking for the family bungalow for 2 nights. However, the experience has left us traumatized and we left after 1 night. We tried to complain to the receptionist when we checked out on the second day, but he appeared clueless plus I am not sure if he understood us perfectly. In addition, it was difficult to channel our anger to him because it was not his fault. 1) The ceiling has holes in it. I was sleeping w rainwater dripping on my face when I rained that night. I had to cover myself with the blanket to avoid the rain (and mosquitoes) 2) The mosquito nets have holes, rendering the nets useless at nets where there are DOZENS of mosquitoes inside my net. Not to mention that the flooring has holes so the mosquitoes can enter from underneath. I spent the whole night killing them. I have at least 40 bites from the night. My friend had 26 mosquito bites on her face just from trying to sleep in the room. 3)The toilet is not well maintained and very open. There were holes in the wooden walls that made me paranoid when bathing. It is disgusting and absolutely atrocious. The toilet area could have been better maintained to ensure holes are covered the very least. 4) The whole place is falling apart. My bed frame is rickety and slanted. One of the fans nearly fell on my friend. What if he had fallen on him? 5) There were small blood stains on my bed sheets when we first came. It was absolutely disgusting. The management is selfish and greedy for allowing people to book this particular bungalow even tho it has garnered quite a few bad reviews online for this particular bungalow. I cant speak for the rest of the bungalows but DO NOT STAY IN THE FAMILY ROOM. The bungalow has given us a very bad impression of Koh Rong and your establishment.
