The misty hills, lush teakwood and sandalwood forests, and acres of tea and coffee plantations of Kodagu are, in a word, stunning. Also known as Coorg and dubbed "The Scotland of India," Kodagu is a postcard-perfect region of scattered villages and hamlets, which are the epitome of old-world charm. Kodagu is ideal for outdoor activities such as trekking, angling and white-water rafting, and major festivals like Keil Poldu (worship of weapons), Cauvery Shankaramana (return of the river goddess) and the Huttari (harvest) festival are a huge draw.

A truly incredible property with beautiful rooms, lots of eye catching flora and fauna, delicious food and warm hospitality, this is a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Stay : We stayed at their Groove view suite, a complete state of the art european chalet style room that will leave you spellbound. With a cozy and warm ambience this suite is one of the best we’ve stayed at. It has heated floors, an electric fireplace, a huge bathroom with a bathtub, a massive balcony, study, a comfy bed and more. The room is studded with opulent upholstery and offers stunning views of the sprawling wilderness. Dining : While offering a memorable and luxurious stay, Coorg wilderness resort is also a great F&B destination with two main restaurants offering incredible food. Habba their multicuisine, all day dining restaurant offers a sprawling buffet spread with ala carte options too, surrounded by untouched views of the misty hills. Experience cuisines from all over India in a plush and cozy ambience as you devour a delicious meal at Habba. We went on a beautiful nature walk and explored the rich flora and fauna of the area with a tour of their coffee plantation too. After this, head on to a special coffee experience session with their head barista to learn all about coffee from bean to cup. Apart from this you can also wake up early and go bird watching to see some incredible bird species of Coorg or go on for a sunset walk in the evenings with beautiful views. Nikaay spa : Relax and rejuvenate amidst the cool weather and calming mountains with a lovely therapy at Nikaay spa. We indulged in a head massage and a full body aromatherapy treatment that left us with a sense of utter relaxation and calmness. How to reach : We flew down to Mangalore from Mumbai and then the hotel had arranged for a pick up and drop from Mangalore airport to the property which is around 3.5 hours. An Eco friendly Resort blending with nature and an ideal place to unwind yourself. Preferred destination for couples and honeymooners who want to rediscover their connect with nature.
A great experience at the Heritage Resort. It is a few kms from Madikeri town and situated among a truly natural and ethnic setting. Rooms are private cottages with a large bed and comfortable seating, and a small patio outside to get the true feel of nature. We chilled in the patio in the morning with a cup of coffee and with some scotch in the evening. The layout is such that there isn't any intrusion from any other guest. The restaurant and swimming pool is at the highest point of the resort, and the views from there are magnificent. It is a bit of a walk getting there from the cottages, but the view is worth the effort. The food in the restaurant is top notch. We had taken the all meals package and really enjoyed each meal. The restaurant incharge Mr. Shivakumar helped reserve a table for us on our anniversary and really made sure our needs were taken care of. Akshay and the rest of the staff we super responsive, courteous and were a great help throughout. The resort says they aren't a luxury resort, but a coming together of local heritage and people to give us a feel of real Kodagu experience. After staying here, I felt it truly is!

Stayed 4 nights and 5 days. The property is gorgeous - lush green with rustic cottages and beautiful views. The included activities, restaurants and spots are enough to keep you occupied. Had a great time - our host Bhagyashree was excellent and catered to any of our needs. The bird watching session from Mohan was interesting as well. The location dinner on Tuesday was amazing. I heard it’s scheduled on Tuesday and Saturday if the weather allows it. Peppercorn restaurant’s dinner ambiance was great too.

Purple Plams Resort, is designed as a well deserved getaway offering pure luxury with five star facilities. It is set amidst misty mountains ideal for the discerning traveller. With 68 well-appointed rooms in 3 different categories with Ozone treated Swimming pool with Jacuzzi and artificial water falls . We have a restaurant, bar and banqueting space for upto 200 people. Being a kids friendly resort we have kids play area and kids pool along with sprawling lawns making every child and the child in you excited. EarthGlo Spa offers Ayurveda and Swedish massages making the experience complete in a resort.
Purple Palms is good and small resort. Sayed in their deluxe suite. It had good comfortable space but needs a bit of better utilities planning, big bathroom but not even a single clothes hanging hook. Food taste can be improved. Otherwise, all the other amenities are at par with any premium resort. The staff were always courteous and welcoming. Overall a very good stay.

Kadkani Resort is what you thought of - waiting with its fairy tale appeal, resplendent with glory of Coorg and enhanced with luxury and comforts that we have put together.
This resort is a well-maintained property, somewhat in the middle of a jungle surrounded by coffee plantations with old-style cottages but with all modern amenities. Even though this place is remote, cabs are easily available at an hours' notice. Rooms are neat, spacious and well maintained. The food may seem slightly limited in options to some folks but we found it ample. It is very delicious and light on the stomach. Gave full marks to the Chef and his team. Children and adults all enjoyed the swimming pool and the other activities like Zipline, pedal boat etc. This is a good place for a quick, short and quiet getaway. Since this is a jungle resort, there were a couple of small hiccups during our stay and we gave feedback to rectify certain minor shortcomings but overall, the staff is very friendly and always ready to help. In particular for us, Shashi one of their Sales Reps was always ready to sort out even the tiniest of problems. I would say Kudos to Shahsi and the rest of the Kadkani team for an excellent and hassle-free stay for me and my family.
